Below the Windows Installer there is this thing called "Universal Update"

What is it and what does it update?

Bugfixes I guess - relase version had some with one gamebreaker that sliped through betatests if I recall correctly (haven't encountered it in my playthrough).

Just checked - it installs over your (already installed) game, like patches in the old days : )
Install the game, then install the update.

That's it - update fixes broken parts \ code in the game.

So the fix is not in the installer? Why wouldn't it be?

I can understand installing the update for somebody who installed the game before the fix was available, but now the installer should include it, shouldn't it?

It is only a MB. It takes a second to install so I don't think it that important to include it.

Logically it should - but the installer description says it's v2.0.0.0 and the update should make it v2.0.1.
Better safe than sorry : )

It will be in the near (or not so near) future. Integrating the patch to the main installer takes some time, since they do have to thoroughly test it first. So that usually happens in a month or so after the update is released. Not really sure about the newer installers, mostly because I haven't noticed that many updates on them.

Hey I have another problem, How do I exit this game?

I assumed it has a menu by pressing the esc key but nothing, pressed all the keys and no menu so how do I leave the game without going in windows to turn it off?

(Also how do you save?)

At some point in the future, but I doubt it's worth GOG updating the main installer until they know there are no more updates coming.
