Brilliant game, it does a good job of putting you in the environment. Piloting the car would've been nice, but still, fun game. The "mood" settings in the menu don't really do anything that I remember. I recently reinstalled it on my netbook (XP) and it runs perfectly. If you have issues, give compat mode a shot.
Enjoy the Esper, that's a personal favorite.

Just a little question - how exactly you see piloting a car in BR adventure game? There is no racing, no fighting - you've only fly from one point to another and you also can walk from point to point. People would get bored after like third flight (most of the gamers at least) and use autopilot instead. If you like to fly a car try "crime cities" :)
It would be nice to navigate through the city on your own. Not racing, just adding to the immersion in the environment. This was the main complaint when the game came out and I still wish we could do so.

I dont know - it would be nice once or twice but I think you eventually would get bored. Still I agree it could be fun for immersion :) I love those spinners! Its my dream vehicle :)

Weclock: I just got blade runner for PC - anyone have any tips for playing it on a modern computer?
avatar
Skreczi: tip 3: watch movie and read a book before playing - it take so many stuff from those you will feel much better to play it after checking those two before.

I to have just got the game pretty good so far but there was a blade runner book?

Blade Runner was based on a book by a sci-fi author, Philip K Dick.
He wrote dozens of books, and many of them were turned into movies. Probably the most famous are Blade Runner (book: "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"), Minority Report, Total Recall (short story: "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale"), and A Scanner Darkly.
The only issue I had with this on Win7 64bit recently was messed up movies, but alt-tab out and back in just once fixed that issue. I never had CPU issues.
Amazing game!
