... I really don't.

But I want to give this whole social-component of gaming, this whole new experience and stuff a chance.
Whatever...

Now, I hardly accept playing with people I don't know, yet I feel the majority of this forum is kind enough so this might be worth a try.

I know, I know, some of you are complete douchebags I am kind of a asshole myself, that's why I don't have many friends and those I have are more sociable than me. They are playing far less video games, bitching more about their girlfriend and thus are utterly unable to play some games with me.

Now back on topic:

If you hate multiplayer, too, maybe you want to play with someone who thinks the same way.
Maybe then you can bitch about how bad multiplayer is, because you just tried it out, okay?
Maybe you want to experience something new.
Maybe you like multiplayer and just want to show an asshole like me how it's "done" properly, our maybe your social predispostion is more sophistaced than mine and you actually like the social component of multiplayer,

So if you are up to the challenge I would like to play games with you.
Games, meaning: no modern shooters please and nothing too expensive for me please.
I don't have something specific in mind because I want to try something new, maybe evolve or devolve a little and thus I don't want to limit the experience too much.

Oh and I would appreciate a cooperative playstyle rather and and PvP. While I'm not entirely stupid at playing games I don't get the fun competing against a human opponent, even if I win (I did this most of time when I played DukeNukem or Unreal Tournament) it is rather stressing, it feels just like work not like entertainment.

So, what do you think?
Yeah I know, I'm getting soft but seriously?
Fuckin 'A'! I don't like 'em either!
Hmm, what about trying Divinity: Original Sin after it comes out?
In case you don't know it, it is co-op RPG with TBS combat.
I think it is scheduled to be released during November(?).
I am not much of multiplayer person myself and it could be good to try it with real person instead of AI.
I didn't mind multiplayer at one point, but it seems as if it's got to the point where games just have to include social and multiplayer aspects at the cost of single player -- for example, Mass Effect 3. It started as a single player game, continued into 2 as a single player game, and then shoehorned multiplayer into 3.

Granted, some players may like that, but I would have preferred that they finished it as they started, and used resources to properly test and finish the story in a way that wouldn't have caused so much backlash.

I know that's an old example now, but developers have to realise that some people still want a single player experience from time to time, especially in a story that they may have invested a fair amount of time in.

Oh... Just thought of another example, why oh why, couldn't they just have given us a proper Knights of the Old Republic 3, instead of the mess that eventually emerged?

Sorry if this is a little long, I didn't mean to turn this into some kind of diatribe, but my thought processes kind of ran away from me. :-)
I like some MP games, especially coop games, but I hate the fact that MP is forced even into SP content in some future games. I guess it's how publishers want to fight with used games and piracy, but I hate it.

I don't mind some multiplayer, but generally I like big open world RPG's the best... I can spend hundreds of hours playing those type of games and don't need anyone.

I did just pick up the 2 stronghold games from GOG, may try out multiplayer in them soon.
I don't mind MP games, but only at times that they are 'just' MP games, and like many of the people here, I don't like MP being forced into SP-type games.

On another note, I love Co-OP and always will.

That's what I'm talking about. Sounds interesting - let's hope it's not too expensive and comes to GOG :-)

Great, so let's play. How about some "Knights of the Old Republic Free To Play MMO" game?

With you in a heart beat. Too bad my internet connection sucks.

Oh and you are on another continent so you are sleeping when I'm awake and vice versa.

Steam has Lara Croft and the guardian of light for $3.39 during their sale It's co-op with one other friend, you pretty much help each other with your abilities to get places, it's kinda violent and it has a demo, so you can try before you buy.

Actually I'm not sleeping, I am in "Vampire Mode" so I just have to make a new Character on a Server of your choice and we can F*cking get annoyed at each other while playing this sh*tty excuse of a sequel for late KOTOR2
I really don't like playing multiplayer games at all. I just like doing my own thing in games.

Great, exactly!
Me too, so how about it, then?

The whole point is: I don't have anyone I could name friend enought to play that.
