Hi I usually buy games in the gog sale but I find this sale very annoying. First I have sit there to see if any of the games I want appear and then the same games cycle over and over again. If there was a list I could look quickly and say nothing for me. Instead I have sit there and wait for hours just to see games I have already purchased or products I just don't want. I am not trying to insult you guys I just don't like your new sales idea.
can we go back to lists please. My time is very valuable to me.

Insomnia sale is a special event, it's happening second time actually. I think you can grit your teeth for 2-3 days more while waiting for regular sales :)

Many people think so (me included), but there are also many people who like the "special event" character about it, and the fact that some of the games are offered cheaper than on other sales.

Different strokes for different folks. When GOG first tested a sale with a prgressive discount (higher discount the more you buy or already own), many people protested against it, but for me it was one of the best sales the site has ever had.

Just ignore the sales that you don't like, and make use of those that cater better to your preferences. :)

Indeed. This is an annoying sale, based on manipulating some base human instincts of scarcity and pressure. I am also ignoring the sales completely, not even bothering to check the front page.

I partially agree, but I don't blame GOG for doing it.. also, many prices are incredible.
It's bad because it requires wasting 1+ days frantically checking the offers and spending a lot, but it's good if you managed to take many good titles for few bucks.

Lots of us loved it the first time they did it in the fall and asked GOG to do it again. They changed the one thing most people complained about: How the freebies were distributed. The quantities are also lower than they were so the sale should not last as long as the first time.

This type of activities are fun for a lot of people, that doesn't mean everyone is going to like it. I haven't participated this time around for multiple reasons but I do remember how wacky previous sales of this nature are. I think it is great of GOG to try a whole myriad of different selling type of activities throughout the year.

Finally, all GOG veteran know that if you want a great deal at really crazy prices, you get that at the end of year sales.

Everyone has their preference and opinion on the matter. I think the last Fall Insomnia sale proved to be a success and is back by popular demand - with some minor tweaks to make the sale more enjoyable. GOG seems to be always running a weekly promo which is probably more your flavor. No judgements here, just an observation.

Also, this sale brings a life of its own to the GOG forum community and is quite a thing to see and experience. :D

Didn't like the first and still don't like this one, but if it's more profitable than regular sales for gog, they'll probably do it again, or do something similar.

I think you would need an economist and a psychologist for this one.

Plus, the Insomnia Sale and the Keaning have generated a lot of publicity for GoG.

It's not that hard to ignore things you don't like. The novelty of the fall sale isn't here, but it's still kinda fun regardless. I honestly find very nice that they constantly try new things on these sales, and I really enjoyed a several of them. And we always have the weekly and Christmas sales.
