that GOG.com still doesn't have System Shock 2. It's been on top of the most requested game list since launch of this site. No eta??
Wishlist. Not the real thing.
Even so, I am surprised it's not available
The wishlist is just what we want GOG to get. That doesn't mean that GOG can actually get it and the fact that they don't have it yet does not mean that they aren't still trying to get it. GOG needs to find and negotiate with all the appropriate rights holders (nigh impossible in some cases) and convince them that it is worth it to sell their game in a DRM free form (even more impossible in some cases), then configure and test out an installation package (difficult at best) before they can even announce that a game is "coming soon". That's why we don't have System Shock 2 yet.
When we organise our glorious peoples march for DRMless games outside EA HQ, then perhaps the capitalists will give in to the will of the people!
Rejoice comrades! For GOG grows like wildfire, and truly all the games companies in the world look on in Awe!
they probably do have the rights, but are waiting until they're out of beta.

Us wanting the game does not equal them being able to negotiate the rights to sell the game.

I AM AMAZED that GOG.com still doesn't have a French Dip sandwich with extra au jus sauce on the side. It's been on top of my most requested sandwich list since even before this site launched.
Just kidding, I forgive them. As long as they're still trying.
Whenever System Shock 2 does come out on GOG, GOG will have to deal with EA because they own SS2.
I would think that GOG tries to get everything they can, but some things we will have to wait to arrive. :o)
I'm sure they are trying extremely hard to get SS2. I really want to play it on my current system, but until then I will play some Bioshock(not nearly the same, but still great)
