So we have come to Week Twenty-Six - Week Two of the Storm

For those that missed last weeks beginning, let me explain "The Storm"

For the Next Twenty-Four Weeks we will be experiencing A Hurricane of Game Giveaway Goodness. What I have been referring to as The Storm. While (GOG) continues to transform itself into into (GIG) Great Indie Games - We will keep the acronym going strong with Great Overwhelming Giveaways (GOG) for the next twenty-four weeks. So please take part in the upcoming weeks and have fun.

Our first week of the Storm saw the Updated Classic from the Great Days of Bioware's Past as I gave away two (2) copies of Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition on Gamersgate. This week we have our first Gift from Steam. Yep - I did say that correctly. I know some of you will cringe but I also know that some of you embrace that "service". For week two of the Storm we have one (1) copy of Dungeon Siege Complete on Steam. That is: Dungeon Siege, Dungeon Siege 2, Dungeon Siege 3, and the DLC - Dungeon Siege 3: Tears of the Sun. I am giving everyone an extra chance this week as you may enter twice in the thread - so place your entries strategically. So, please enter the giveaway and I will randomly draw for the codes sometime on Monday Evening - Enjoy.

For audience participation this week - Let me hear your thoughts on Steam and / or DRM in General. Personally, I use it for games I get for free and retail games that require it like Skyrim. What are your are thoughts? - Now is the time to be heard!!

As Always - The Hall of Heroes can be found here here
First post!

Still not in ;-p But I can tell you're ramping up to the Perfect Storm!

I own 2 of the 3 DS games so not in. +1 for the the new storm otherwise known as Hurricane Lou :).
I have no problem with Steam DRM. I don't know about any of the other DRM like uplay, Origin, securerom, etc. mainly because user feedback has often been negative. I use Steam, GOG and GG and I find my gaming needs are easily met w/o me wanting for more or other services. I mainly play rpg's which take a while to complete so discovering GOG was awesome as is your new giveaway.

Thanks again Lou!

I use steam for free games, Humble Bundle purchases, and Summer Sale/discounted games I bought for less than $10. I stay away from games on Steam with any extra DRM (Like GFWL) as a rule. Overall I like steam very much, it's convenient and I've never really had a problem with it, but knowing the games aren't really mine and are tied to the service lowers their value in my mind. I just wouldn't pay full price for a game on Steam.

Count me in for the Dungeon Siege pack, Lou - and thanks!
Not in but much appreciated for your generosity, Lou. :)
I've been using Steam for many weeks. It was a total nuisance with HL2, but became better with time. For a period of time the best sales were on Steam, but Valve has reduced the discounts somewhat and bundles took over. All in all, I like Steam and I often prefer downloading games through it. I do like to keep the option of DRM-free copies on the side, just in case.

As for the giveaway, I'm not in. I once bought this collection, kept it in my Steam inventory, and eventually gave it away.
Thanks +1 but not in. Excellent games that deserve to be played :)
Oh, I'm in. I was considering purchasing the pack when it was on sale, but hesitated and missed the chance, as back then I didn't have a job. Nowadays I have work now and then, but still plenty of time to enjoy a game, especially one involving dungeons!
Not in. +1 for your generosity. Thanks for the giveaway...
I'm in since I played the original Dungeon Siege but skipping the sequels because I don't have good enough PC to run them.

Regarding Steam I use it because my friends are there. But I try my hardest to get games DRM free. Of course Steam is not all bad but I still call it a lighter form of DRM. Also I still worried because there's stories about people who lost their Steam account just because they love to gift people with video games and the fact that they allow games like War Z to be sold even when the devs lied to their customers.
I'm in, played only 1st Dungeon Siege long time ago.
As for steam... I have mixed fellings about it... there are times that I think it's ok, but most of the time it's making me mad. :)
Count me in Lou, thanks.

Not happy about Steam, I'm just using it.
Count me in, thanks!

Steam... do I need to comment that. Let me put it this way.
I couldn't care less. I still use it only because of my old games (primary CS) and the bundles. Ah yes and pretty much for chat with my friends xD
already have this, so not in this time. Thank though Lou, as always!
I actually find Steam to be not as bad as some of the other DRM horrors out there (Blizzard, Ubisoft, EA). Sure the frequent updates irritate, but I like Steam's downloader as well as the interface as a whole (library, store).

If I may, please count me in for triock. Thanks as always Lou!
