I checked out some trailers and gameplay videos of Hotline Miami, but I can't afford it right now. I was on a torrent site and I almost clicked "get this torrent", but then I noticed it's the GOG installer and all the bonus materials, and I couldn't find it in my heart to download it. I decided to wait till I could afford it. Did this or something similar ever happen to anyone?

If I recall correctly, Hotline Miami creator said that he has nothing against the pirates and even provided patch support for pirate versions.

But indeed it would be more polite (for GOG :P) if you pirated different version of the game :P

Wait till you can afford it. It's not going to kill you, and it will taste much sweeter once you fire the game up if you know you've acquired it legally. Unless you have no morals, then it won't make any difference.

Considering the prices on GOG it would be more plausible they're leaks and some people upload the games including extras.

If that's true, I congratulate you. You did the honest thing to do :)

Besides, download a game like that, you risk to also download viruses and fake stuff. Videogames are not like water for the thirsty, or food for the hungry. They're a privilege, not a necessity.

I guess, if some people download games like that because they can't afford them, the honest thing to do is to pay for them as soon as they can, because what they do is a steal, and nothing else.
