All five Quest for Glory games (Adventure/RPGs), and it astounds me this thread has gone this long without a single mention. Shadows of Darkness is probably my favorite of the lot. Another favorite hybrid would be BloodNet, also an Adventure/RPG, frustratingly flawed but still awesome. Veil of Darkness (Action/Adventure) is also up there.

I've just realized all of these games involve vampires. In my defense, they're all from back when vampires were marginally cool, before they fucking sparkled.

... we need to say "Urine" to participate?
"Malevolent Scrotum", but thanks for your generosity, Licurg!

And I share your love for the original Dune by Cryo Interactive: the superb atmosphere and art (those sunrises and sunsets...), the breathtaking soundtrack, the portraits of the characters (I still name my female characters in games as Chani). Definitely a title I crave to see in GOG catalog. ;)

I'm glad someone else has good tastes :D
Torchlight code still unredeemed .
I'm in!

I have two hybrid games in my mind that I say left a good impression for me. The first one is the first Medieval Total War. That thing combine turn base and real time strategy wonderfully and I just can't stop playing it.

The second one is much more obscure. It's called Uprising X. That game is about tank shooter and real time strategy and it's a damn shame it never get a good sequel or remake.
Tomorrow . Winner . Bump . Sleep .
Check this BUMP before you go go
Malevolent Scrotum Licurg! +1
Closing this in a couple of hours. BTW, that Torchlight code is still unredeemed .

I'm in! Thank you for the chance Licurg. +1

My absolute favorite hybrid is Spellforce which is a RPG & RTS hybrid, but because it has already been mentioned I'll let you know about the latest hybrid that impressed me.

I know that you are crazy about King of Dragon Pass and I think you would enjoy King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame. All the trailers make it look like a RTS, Total War clone, which is a shame because the RPG and "choose your own adventure" elements are what sets this game apart than any other I have seen.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, you can only buy it on STEAM, HOWEVER the sequel is DRM-FREE on Gamersgate right here. As an advice, you should wait for a sale because it regularly goes for 75% off.
Well since you haven't closed it, I'm in. Thanks, Licurg.

Luckily for me, no one has mentioned Warlords: Battlecry series.
It's a combination of RTS & RPG. You have mentioned this game a couple of times, Licurg. So I won't say much.
Why I love it:
Fantasy theme, sexy chicks, RPG element gives your units ability to improve due to experience, hero unit (the same reason why I also love Heroes IV).

Another game is Imperial Glory. It plays like Total War series, turn based grand strategy and realtime battles.
Why I love it:
Wargame, Napoleonic Era/rifles era warfare, age of sails' good naval combat-not randomized like old TW games, unlimited turns.
