It's a GIVEAWAY!

In my continuing attempt to get the appropriate GOG staff to say, "Hey, y'know? These games might be short and for kids, but they're good classic titles with lots of charm and fun characters that deserve to be here! And we have Tommo Inc. here (the current rights' holders), and they run fine through ScummVM, and as evidenced by Reddit and YouTube are very popular with thousands of people who grew up with them, so why not sell them?", I've decided to have a giveaway to promote them.

From what I've read you can gift games through iTunes, so my plan is thusly:

I will be gifting two people a game each. EDIT: Originally it was just for Pajama Sam and Spy Fox, but it might be smarter to open it to all the Humongous Entertainment games - whether PS, SF, Freddi Fish, or Putt-Putt - on iTunes. Pick one! Winners will be chosen randomly in about two weeks.

Please do not vote for the games unless you would buy them from GOG. However, if you wouldn't mind taking a look at some of the walkthroughs on YouTube (if you don't mind spoilers) and maybe checking out my "Humongous Entertainment Support Thread" to see the evidence I've collected that suggests these games would sell well, I'd appreciate that.

Walkthroughs
Pajama Sam: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=pajama+sam&sm=1
Spy Fox: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=spy+fox+&sm=3
Freddi Fish: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=freddi+fish&sm=3
Putt-Putt: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=putt-putt&sm=3

(Note: the walkthoughs don't show all the silly fun unrelated animations, the "click-its", that all the Humongous games had. You could probably fill another hour just messing around with those.)

Wishlist (again, only vote if you'd buy)
Pajama Sam: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=pajam&order=votes_total
Spy Fox: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=spy%20fox&order=votes_total
Freddi Fish: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=freddi&order=votes_total

Better than Putt-Putt? It's hard to imagine really. My girls loved Putt-Putt when they were small and would give it a spin today again if they could, not to mention my grandson who would be too little to control the game but would love watching.

I voted for Humongous games in general and Putt-Putt in particular. Actually, I had already voted for Humongous games in general before. I'm sure I'd buy Putt-Putt games. Odds are good I'd buy an assortment of the others too for my grandson but I'd need to see them, etc.

It would be very nice to have children's classics here and hopefully for both PC and Mac I might add. There doesn't seem to be so much in the way of educational and entertainment titles for little ones as there once was. I'd really like to see the old Davidson (Mathblaster, etc.) and Learning Company (Reader Rabbit, etc.) games here too. I think a selection of titles like these would be welcome additions to the GOG catalog by many parents and sell well here. My children loved and benefited from software like this when they were small.

I didn't know these titles were available as apps on iTunes. I don't own a iPod Touch (yet!) so I'll pass on the giveaway but these will be fun for someone.

I edited the above post to include all Humongous games on iTunes; it was kinda silly leaving them out.

However, the lack of interest thus far in the giveaway may have backfired on me. ;)
I do really hope that one day all Humongous games are included in GOG's catalogue. Thank you so much tfishell for your continuous attempts at bringing attention to Humongous' marvelous titles! I especially like Pajama Sam series; back in the days, I even contributed Pajama Sam 3's game entry to MobyGames:

I'm not in, but a hundred +++++++rep! :)

Let's get ready for Sam's party!

Well it's only a short time so far plus it is holiday time and people are busy out and about I imagine.

I really think the games you've been promoting for some time would fit right in here and work out well for both GOG and customers alike. So hopefully in time we'll see it happen.

It is awesome they are on iTunes. When I get my iPod Touch (who knows when?) I am going to get Putt-Putt for sure and show it to my girls. They will get such a kick out of that. Neither of them has an iPhone or I'd tell them to get them themselves now.

Come to think of it, I should check on Amazon to see if there are Android/Kindle versions of these. They both have Kindles and so do I. We need multiplayer Putt-Putt! Coop!

Soundtracks included would be so cool too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc-HhxEY7zk&list=PL2EBD18E452C39FEB

Thanks. There seem to have been some setbacks, but I'm trying to remain hopeful. :)

As https://twitter.com/AH_BrownMan said jokingly in one of Achievement Hunter's videos,"Can we do a four-way speedrun of Pajama Sam?"

And yes, some of them are on Amazon! Unfortunately not all, but Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo is - http://nimbusgames.com/games/putt-putt-saves-the-zoo. Actually, so is http://nimbusgames.com/games/putt-putt-joins-the-circus
(If you do buy these, can you tell me if they have the little "click-it"s in those versions?)

I bookmarked the site for future reference after taking a peek just now. Thanks for pointing it out.

I wish listed Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo for the moment but might pick it up early January and have a look on my Kindle then.
Still much interest thus far. :P

I wanted to at least bump this before I go to bed.
Awesome idea for a giveaway!

Hopefully this can help drum up a bit more publicity for the HE catalog here on GOG. While I've said it before, it bears repeating that I would buy a GOG release of the HE games Day 1 I love them that much. These games defined my childhood and, while I had played other games before it, Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo blew my tiny mind by showing me a whole world that I could explore, with seemingly limitless possibilities. While I haven't done nearly as much as you, I try to spread the word about these games whenever I can. Here's hoping the future is bright for these wonderful games!

P.S. I'm not in the contest, but purely because I already own all of Nimbus' releases. Hopefully you'll get some takers soon!
I really appreciate your efforts in trying to get Humongous games on GOG. Those games are really great for families with children.

My older son (5) and I recently finished Freddi Fish stolen shell and Pajama Sam thunder and lightening on ipad, and Putt Putt saves the zoo is one of the games he constantly returns to. I am happy to know that he too enjoys adventure games.

I would like to enter for Putt Putt joins the circus. Thank you for your generosity and enthusiasm!

You may win by default. ;) But this is also a bump.
Another bump attempt

(Maybe I should have said GIVEAWAY instead of giveaway. :P)
perhaps it's just that not too many people here use iProducts.
Oh I loved playing the Humongous games with my children. I think we still have all the old cds around here somewhere. We still have family in-jokes based on Freddi Fish & Putt-Putt. lol

+1 for your generous heart, even though I am not in.

You may be right, lol. Maybe I should do a giveaway with physical disks instead.
