retro_gamer: It would be a lot simpler if they'd just unlocked GOLD PACK in the THQ Bundle instead of makin such irrational moves.
That would be silly... THQ's secondary goal was probably to increase the number of potential buyers of DLC and expansions.

But WA, while being a great expansion, really isn't all that much more content. Also, I find it too expensive for the asked price. And we still have the other two expansions.

Well, if so, they could think it through before adding DoW GOTY in the Bundle. Now they made a little unnecessary mess around it.

SimonG: As Stooner has said, they added WA to Steam.
What do you mean added Winter Assault to steam? It was always there (or at least it was there for the last 3+ years...)

Up until recently, WA was only available to be purchased as part of the Gold Pack. There was no "WA entry" on the store page. At least that is what I and many others experienced.

Ah, more or less the same as GTA 1 and 2 then, which are (I think) only available through a bundle. Thank you, that does clear up my confusion, since I recall always seeing WA available, though I got the pack for it.

Yeah, now if you want to get Winter Assault, it's $19.99, which is how much the Gold edition was before. You can also buy the bundle (essentially the Gold edition) for $19.99.

Get a european to buy DoW for you, you are getting ripped off if you buy it in the US. Check SteamPrices

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a retail copy of the Gold edition, so I think I'm OK.

Now I see WINTER ASSAULT on STEAM. I's 6.99€ here in EU so I guess we are in a better position than US cirizens. GOLD PACK is 14.99€ but the funny thing is that DOW is 6.99€ and WA is 6.99€ too. So it someone will buy GOLD PACK he will pay 1€ into thin air. :)))
past $5 million now
and only 3h20m left.

Will the end of this bundle kill this thread!!11!1!!!

And Jason Rubin paid $10.000

Well I was wrong about them not hitting 5 million. I didn't think Titan Quest would have given the bundle that big of a push. Warhammer 40k seemed to have helped keep it going too.

At 3h ~10min left it will be close, but its looking like this might slip past HiB5 for making the most money.
And it's over. I'm delighted that HIB5 remains the highest grossing bundle.

Higher grossing with a smaller number of bundles sold too (and consequently a higher average purchase). Says something about the demographics they were targeting doesn't it? Or something.
