I have none of the games in this bundle but I'm pretty sure Saints Row 3 and maybe Red Faction won't run that well on my machine.

I'm sure it's been answered already but 64 pages fffffff. What are the company of heroes games like? and how demanding of hardware is Darksiders?

edit: derp. Wasn't meant as a reply.

Company of Heroes is an RTS. Let me see how to explain it... Get Starcraft, make it slower, and put a hell of a lot of detail in how you control your units (as in, soldiers take cover on objects, can enter buildings, tanks have less armor on the rear...), and that's it, more or less.

Yeah, it has little to do with Starcraft, I just used that as a starting point because I don't know what you may have played. I could also say Ground Control with unit production and cover for infantry, in that instead of mass producing units and sending them semi-blindly into battle, you spend more time guiding them along.

Anyway, it's better to see for yourself. It is pretty good.

As for Darksiders, it shouldn't be too heavy. Problem is, there are almost no video options other than resolution IIRC, so you will either run it well, or not at all.

Drakhyrr: Snip
I see, not too keen on the sound of Darksiders - I like being able to tweak settings to ensure smooth gameplay. Company of Heroes sounds interesting though, think I'll grab the bundle just to give that a go. Thanks.

There's a demo on Steam if you want to check it out. For the bundle price, though, I don't think you can go wrong.

That is a good idea. Company of Heroes is a stellar game, one of the best RTSs ever, so even if you don't have a computer that can handle it right now, it might be worth buying for when you do have one.
Just so everyone knows, Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is currently 3.74 on GamersGate. Not as nice as being in the bundle, obviously, but at least it's cheaply available at the moment. http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-TQIT/titan-quest-immortal-throne

(Would this copy of IT work with the Steam version of TQ? It lists the DRM as Other DRM. Anyone know?)

EDIT: Pft, Jason Rubin is one of the top donors for the bundle.

FYI, only the expansion is discounted on GG. The base game is not. It also is very unlikely to be compatible with the base version from Steam.

Yeah, that's what I figured since it's not listed as Steamworks. Ah well, got the base game in any case.

retsuseiba: I didn't have quite the same problem, but I did have some issues with my PS1 controller. Apparently the game only/mostly works properly with 360 controllers.
Not just Xbox controllers, but controllers with that basic setup. There is a technical term for it, they use a different architecture than older controllers.

Honestly this switch happened like 6 years ago, you guys need new controllers :P

XInput controllers are limited to the specs of the xbox controller. "Old" DirectInput controllers can have more axes and more buttons, but require thinking to code for them.
Sadly most games designed with XInput in mind have no controller setup options, which leads to issues with DI devices.

Okay.

The fact is Xinput gave us a common plug and play standard, which is awesome.
Titan Quest, without the datadisc? hardly an item that will bring more buyers...
If the Titan Quest addon doesn't make it in this bundle later, it will most probably be on sale for Christmas, no need to hurry.

Logitech do a series of controllers that have a switch on the back of them that changes between DirectInput and XInput. Cheapest one is a standard pad without rumble, mid range has the rumble and high end version is wireless.

I have a wireless 360 controller which I use currently and have no issues with. I am going to pick up the cheapest version of the Logitech pad in a few weeks for the old games that only work with DI.

You can get them cheaper if you look on Amazon :)
