Crassmaster: Oooooo, an irrational comparison between a game bundle and blood iamonds.
shmerl: It's not irrational. It's highlighting the focus on ethical business practices. DRM is unethical (even if not to a degree like blood diamonds, but still unethical). It's preemptive policing approach which disrespects legitimate users. So any distributor which has strong anti DRM stance (kudos to GOG) deserves extra credit and encouragement. And other way around, if distributor decides that DRM is acceptable - it adds to their bad reputation.
Crassmaster: If people would stop building up 'good guy' game companies in the first place, maybe that would be a good idea? They aren't your friend. They aren't your buddy. They only exist to offer you a product from time to time. Stop building them up in to anything more than that, regardless of who it is. It's time to put on some adult clothes.
shmerl: If people would stop holding the nonsense that business should be unethical, and wouldn't tolerate such practices voting with their wallets, companies would be much more thoughtful before engaging in any such kind of behavior. But no, people say they don't care and it's OK. You get what you choose.
If we lived on a totally different planet with a totally different history and we weren't human.....man just think of all that
