SirPrimalform: It kind of looks like the 'DRM-free download' was a mistake now. Can't believe the Humble guys would go against their principles and sell games without a DRM-free download though...
Wasn't the addition of DRM free downloads a rather recent one anyway? I wouldn't call that their "core principles".

Humble guys! Not the Desura guys! :P

What is is with people misreading everything I type in this thread today?

EDIT: In case you didn't misread, the games being DRM-free was one of the founding principles of the Humble Indie Bundle.

No, it's weird. But it does say "DRM-free" on the Sanctum Humble Store page.

Well, no reply from them yet (except the usual "automatic response"). I suppose 15 August but be an holiday in their country too. I hope I can download the game soon (maybe tomorrow) and confirm it's fully drm-free (even the multiplayer). Gonna play Symphony now :o)

Aye, but the Defence Grid one is Steam only and I'm beginning to suspect the same of Sanctum because of catpower1980's post.

Oh right, sorry. Got that mixed up. All games on the HiB are DRM free, not every windows version, however ;-)

It's kind of disappointing, but unfortunately, not all of them are. Trine 2 isn't and there's another one, that I cannot remember right now, that isn't either.

The Linux Version is DRM free ;-)

Heh, now that's just not fair. :P
Wow! This is interesting news.
And the one thing that makes the Humble Store so interesting to me: they offer cross-platform compatibility.
avatar
SirPrimalform: Pretty sure you can still buy the DRM-free version on Desura.
I can't, says on the store page that it is an "invite-only release," whatever that means.

On the dev website, it says that the Windows version will be available DRM-free later in 2012.

I think thy the Sancum one wasn't actually ready for purchase, yet. Your only really supposed to buy them after the developer puts the widget on their site, and we've been finding most of these by poking around in Humble Bundle's HTML.

From the Trine 2 desura page comments, they plan to release a DRM Free Windows version, but don't know when that will be.

No clear date on the Windows DRM free version at the moment, but it's still planned.
End of the story concerning Sanctum :
The humble store is not quite ready to sell Sanctum yet so I got refunded.

So, beware when a widget is not "officially"(on the dev's website) available.

EDIT: Got an e-mail from Coffee Stains Studio that implied that the 20$ price was "strange" so we can guess it will be cheaper when it's gonna be released.
