3.73, and not a cent more. If they do come to GOG (haha, yeah right Sega), I would definitely rebuy.

Hopefully my little contribution doesn't help them all that much.

Remember that you can choose to adjust how much of your contribution goes to the game publishers or devs / HB / charity

Bambusek: Viking I already have, not too bad but not great either. But Sonic Generations is something I wanted for some time.

CharlesGrey: FFFFF~ So they're fine with including Viking in a bundle for about 4 bucks, along with several other games, but they won't release it here on GOG, for say, $10?

Fuck you Sega. :((
DRM-free is such a big no-go for many publishers, that they're willing to sacrifice the money they'd get as it seems.

Good tip! I'll remember that in the future. I want the games, but I also want to do as little as possible to support Steam worship.

They're really treating GOG and its customer base as some sort of garbage dump. We typically only get software that has already been sold out all over the place -- "Well, I guess we won't be able to sell this anywhere else any more. Might as well dump it on that GOG place, or whatever it's called." >:((

I'd personally totally buy Viking for some 10 to 15 bucks if they brought it here. Along with various other older games by Sega or Konami etc.

Y U NO WANT MY MONEHS?! *sob*

I bought one of the bundles for someone else and sent just about all of the money to charity and the Humble store, with, I believe, one cent going to Sega. Just to annoy them.

I like it.
I had been doing one cent more than listed, glad there is an option. I'll work on figuring that out before next time.

As an aside: the mobile bundle games look really good... but I'm assuming that they can't run on PC.

fronzelneekburm: Correct me if I'm wrong, but $3.73 must be among the worst average purchases I've ever seen on a Humble deal.
heh, I saw 2,35 once if I remember correctly

Android exclusive, apparently. At least it seems to be otherwise DRM-free. Not that it matters much to me, since I don't have any Android devices, or know much about it.

Back on topic, I still want Sega to release Viking here. Or, y'know, they could start by releasing something here. Rawrarglarg. >:(

Hahaha :P Doesn't mean much unless everyone else is doing it too. And if you could write a description, a personal message to the publisher or HB, i'm sure they'd get plenty of colorful feedback... Quite often i pay almost nothing when they force Captcha on me since i'm paying below the average... You know how many times i have to reload the page and enable scripts in order to answer the question? And quite often it's incomprehensible 99% of the time...

In retrospect, I think this bundle is actually pretty decent, particularly if you don't have any of the major games yet. I'm pretty happy with beating the BTA early, and even if you go for it now ~$4.00 for Sonic Generations, Sonic Adventures DX, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, Space Channel 5 pt.2, Crazy Taxi, SEGA Bass Fishing, NIGHTS, Empire: Total War, & Viking: Battle for Asgard is a great deal.

Although the bundle when analyzed isn't really that bad, I think SEGA/Humble really fumbled the marketing. With all the hype generated from the CoH twitter leak, they really missed a golden opportunity for themselves. They should have marketed the Dreamcast collection as separate games for one, and Sonic Generations should have been in the BTA from the beginning. The DLC cashgrab stuff should have been left out or used to pad the week 2 BTA mystery games, and had they thrown in one or two other well-respected classics like Jet Set Radio or a handful of DRM-Free Genesis games and the BTA would have been $6+ imo, and we'd all be praising this bundle as awesome.

I also think they could have made Valkyria Chronicles a flat $15-18 tier and it would have also sold like crazy. I know they didn't want to cannibalize their sales as it is a recently released game, but at the $15 level it basically is the same as the cost of the game with all the holiday sales -- plus they get more people on the fence about it like me to just go ahead and get it. I already own it on PS3, and I will be happy to wait several years to purchase it until it is either DRM-Free or 75%+ discounted.

Probably not :D The games in this bundle are two or more years old (I don't count DLCs), so it is more like trying to monetize something that is probably not selling today and get new customers for the future.

considering less then 4 dollars gets you around 9 good games
i dont find too much to complain about
Ended up paying $3.80 for the BTA for Sonic Generations, and I'm waiting for a refund on my first purchase. Sadly Humble locks the upgrade price to the BTA price at the time you bought, and I bought this very early, at a time the BTA was over $6. Didn't feel like upping at that price, but Humble support said I could buy a full copy and they'd refund me the previous purchase.

By the way, I just told myself a few days ago that I should stop buying games that I won't play, but hey, "the kid likes Sonic" is a good excuse. What's the chance he or I will play it?

So if you have paid under the BTA before, do you have to pay again over the BTA in order to get it? Or does it require only the sum which is missing from the BTA, based on what you paid earlier?

you have to pay again

i payed under the bta to give the games away to somebody
so if i want the extra games i have to pay again

considering its 4 dollars its not exactly an amount of money that keeps me awake at night
