If I buy a bundle of crap of any goods in any store, the company can't order me to not give half of it to my friends. So do us all a favour and stop spamming and discouraging these generous people.

Any game that comes with more than 1 platforms to use is the same. If a game comes DRM-Free and Steam, or Steam and Origin, I do find it quite unethical to keep one platform for yourself and pass the other to someone else.
You buy the game once, but you assume it's 2 copies, since "it came on 2 CDs, one for Windows, one for Mac, and I don't have a MAC".

Not even berate, but to spread information about what is asked of the licensees. Whether or not the one splitting the bundles up and giving parts away feels guilty or berated is up to them - at least they can make their own informed decision to either result.
I agree hat amok's posting is unnecessary if the giver already knows about Humble's wish, but I'd guess that they often don't, at least it's seldom clear they they do.
I believe that most want to to "the right thing", and are of the opinion that giving away stuff they won't use is exactly that, but might simply not be aware that Humble asks that the bundles be considered "one package", and knowing that gives them one more thing to consider ("which choice is more right?").

1) Lawyers agree on this stuff. You bought one unit that is usable on 2 different platforms, not 2 units, 1 for each platform.
2) I was curious about your moral view on the issue of platform splitting. Giving an Origin key while keeping a Steam key for yourself is the same as my example with the CDs above. Same as giving a Steam key while keeping a DRM-Free copy for yourself.

2.It's not the same. And besides, why are most games sold seperately for different platforms if its the same? Because its not, thats why.
Same diff.

Which one is right for you is for you to decide. And that, I believe is amok's idea, help people make an informed decision.
There a difference between "do this" and "with this information, make the decision you think is right".

Ask one of your country's lawyers the exact thing I asked you. If buying one piece of software you get two disks, one for Mac and one for Windows, do you have one copy of the software or two? And can you sell one of the disks while retaining the other yourself?
Alternatively, provide a quote of a lawyer saying that you are allowed to sell part of the delivery methods for a software you bought.
What's their difference then? You buy one license (or copy) in both cases, and you are allowed to use it on each and any platform you want to do so.
You mean like GG does, which has one version for Windows and one version for Mac? Because some people assume that buying for more than one platform costs more money. Then there are cases like Aspyr and MS Office, where the same software has different developers for different platforms. So it's a bit more complicated than selling both copies at once.
The other stores I know that sell multiplatform are Steam, GOG, Humble Store, Desura and Origin. Those do the same thing Blizzard did back in the day (and possibly still does), provide you access to your software on more than one platform. Buying Civilization V on Steam gives you a Mac version and a Windows version, but it's still one copy, not two. Same with Grand Theft Auto. Multiple versions, one copy.
Repeating something does not make it true. Please provide reasons why it's different.

No, lawyers disagree about everything.

No, I don't want to debate software law, I want the guy to stop spamming, to stop discouraging the nice people here and to stop hurting humble's business by worrying it's customers.

Thank you, Cannard for your generosity. Those are nice games. I hope what's happening to your giveaway wouldn't discourage you to being generous to this community. :)

I'm talking about license duplication, not bundle splitting. So the Humble Origin bundle is 1 bundle that contains 9 game licenses (I'm ignoring The Sims 3 for the moment), with a grand total of 15 keys, or 21 if you also count the Steam CD-Keys you can use in Origin. So there are 9 games you get from HB, not 15. If you give each key away, the 9 licenses have been made 15, with at least 6 of them been created by you. The same thing as if you gave the Mac copy to your friend, thus duplicating a license.
If store (or company) A gives you multiple delivery methods with your purchase, it's 1 copy. If store (or company) B gives you one delivery method with your purchase, it's still 1 copy. Giving you multiple delivery methods is not the same as giving you multiple copies.
I do disagree with amok on when keys from HB can be shared, but I do agree with him that giving the origin key to one user and the steam key to another is immoral. It's no different from giving away the v1.x installer of your GOG game because the game got updated to v2.x

Ok so, once again you are just arguing for fun, I can dig that station. I try to combine fun and a cause I believe in, though. Different strokes...

What about The Witcher 2 on Steam? You also get a GOG key for it. Do you find it moral to keep the Steam version for yourself and give away the GOG version to someone else?
