CatShannon: And I still hope that Mark of the Ninja and Deadlight will one day be released on GOG.com or in a Humble Bundle.
One can just hope... I am also hoping for that.. if it does not happen in some time to come.. might just pick it up from steam..anyways do you still need that Indie Game movie

SimonG: Mark of the Ninja is beyond awesome. But Deadlight is just a cheap Prince of Persia clone only worse.
Is Deadlight really bad.. might have to strike it off my list if that's the case.. but from the looks of it looks really good and a 77 metascore..

It's nothing special. The mechanics are copied from PoP, which did it actually better 25 years ago. The story is your run of the mill zombie story. The graphics have a few moments, but after ten minutes the novelty is off and you just want to finish it. On top of that there are a couple of technical problems and the dev doesn't give a rats ass.

I've played through it once and promptly forgot about it.

Personally, I think it is trying to milk the zombie and indie hype.

Now I am even more inclined towards getting this in a bundle rather make the purchase on steam

keeveek: It appears there's really no bonus this time :P
I was thinking that too.

:(
Based on the Deadlight trailers, I think I'd hurt my eyes squinting at the main character trying to make out any details the whole time I'd be playing it. I realize it's an aesthetic thing, but the game's literally way too dark for me.

CatShannon: I'm not quite sure if they would really "burn" this game in a bundle. I can imagine that if such games like Mark of the Ninja and/or Deadlight would be part of a Humble Bundle, sales figures would skyrocket and probably set another record, which in return would of course also be to the advantage for the developers.
They would burn it by degrading the value of the game. Humble Budle is where you send your games to die once they aren't profitable enough; not that there would be anything wrong with that, it's better than having them collect dust somewhere in the depths of Steam, instead they go out in a burst. From a pure business standpoint it's better to maintain the value of your product as long as possible, that way people pay more money and they rspect your product, you and your future products more. I know some games end up earlier in bundles than others, that's either because those games never had much value to begin with or the developers were educated to believe that making money is evil.

Deadlight is a nice concept, but like people have said, not worth it. The game is short, and once you play through once it isn't really compelling to play it again. I played a good chunk of it at a friend's house, then was curious how much more was to the game and saw the ending on Youtube. In the end I was glad I saved my $15.

Mark of the Ninja is good. For it you just have to ask yourself if you would get to it now or later. The devs have shown they are friendly to the concept of bundles, so if you won't get to it soon, you might want to wait it out.
Deadlight is good but it's too easy. You can finish it in 3 hours without problems, because there are really no fights, no puzzles and platform section are easy as hell. You can't even take a "wrong" road, because it is very linear.
But I really enjoyed it, it has a nice story, nice views...maybe is a little bugged, but they fixed the major issues.
