If nothing else, get this for "Signal to Noise"

SirPrimalform: Invasion: The Secret World Chronicle
Heard good thing about this book. Does anyone recommend it?
Wow, look at that average riding high. I bet it's Signal to Noise causing that (like Bastion in HIB6).
I'd be all over this, but too much fantasy for my taste, and I read Old Man's War already. I bought in to the first storybundle and haven't worked my way through those yet.

I love the idea though!
I prefer this to the humble music bundle. I'm weird about books, though. I still almost always prefer an actual book in my hands. Not quite sure why that is.

Agreed, Signal to Noise is something special.

Anyone read the other books? Based on the little descriptions, Zoo City sounds the most interesting

Maybe if the BTA price drops to $6.

Force of habit? I know I was the same for almost a year with the Kindle until I got used to it. I now prefer it to books. Also - it only works on a good eReader, not a mobile device. You need a screen big enough, and without the glare.

The bundle was available for some time (hours?) outside the main humblebundle.com site, that's where the initial purchases came from. When I looked an hour ago, the BTA was almost $12.

On a related note, can anybody recommend a good eBook reader for the PC?

Same here. As well as liking the actual book as an object, I can't read fiction off a screen.

Outside the site? Where was it being sold?

Isn't Cory Doctorow part of the singularity crowd? I know he's popular among certain "nerd" subgroups, but I think I'll give him a miss. Read some Mercedes Lackey as a kid and have no interest in doing it again. But I've heard good things about Old Man's War, and I like Gaiman. Hm.
That's... almost cruel.

The Second (Degree) StoryBundle is still live... Six days to go...
Zoo City and Bacigalupi

Looks like it's the backend server for the humblebundle that maybe should not have been made public. It was definitely live while humblebundle.com was still showing the ended HIB 6.
