The ritual began with a vinyl Born Again - classic metal is certainly not silly, very serious business. I mean, Digital Bitch serious.

I would never dare the effectiveness of Double Fine's sacred creative process nor their taste in music, but Tim Schafer's acting in that part was very silly. ;)
In the end I have voted for :

The White Birch
Flopulus
Black lake

as this are games I can see myself playing and enjoying, but I also voted for:

Turk
The Flock

as they are the most innovative and experimental pitches, and it would be really interesting to prototypes of them.

Wait - you can vote for more than 4 games? I guess I misunderstood the voting part then. Is there a limit to how many votes you can cast?

no idea... I just clicked on the ones I liked...
Another prototype have been added for those paying more the average:

"Brazen is a 4-player co-op online action game currently in the prototype stages over at Double Fine. Players form groups to battle epic creatures in a world that draws inspiration from classic Hollywood fantasy films like Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts, and the original Clash of the Titans. Choose from three character classes: the stout defensive Stalwart, the agile and versatile Waracle, or the drunkenly unhinged Beerzerker. Do battle against the Gorgoth, a mythical two headed creature with an insatiable appetite for mankind. The Brazen prototype represents a core concept from a small team at Double Fine led by Brad Muir, Project Lead of Iron Brigade."
I think I'll sit this one through. I prefer having the full Costume Quest game than the prototype ;p

While some of these games look very interesting, I'd wait for their further development.
Brazen prototype was added as a BTA bonus. If you bought the bundle before it got added without beating the average, it'll be on your key page.
The votes are in, and the 4 games getting most votes are:

Hack n' Slash
Spacebase DF-9
The White Birch
Autonomous

Live streaming of making the prototypes starts now at 2 pm PST.

Apparantly they changed their mind about the top 4 and made it a top 5, so that "The Black Lake" is in now, too. Not that I'm complaining. :)

I had to jump to my account page to check this !!! What a great news, I liked the idea and was a bit disappointed that it was not chosen. I guess it could be interesting from a marketing point (compared to other game ideas who would be more "niche").

You or me? Me, I already gave in and got Stacking from Steam in a sale, just to try it. But it doesn't run smoothly on my rig, so I haven't even played it. Why would I want to post in the Stacking thread? :)

You mentioned Stacking recently, so I thought you played it.

Ah. Nah, that was in the "Rename the Game" thread and it was more tongue-in-cheek. Just because I said that Slacking was my favorite game, doesn't automatically mean that I like Stacking. ;)
