JMich: This is the pack. It doesn't have any territory limitations, and it gives the ROW versions of the games. I think (though both Amazon and Paypal failed me) that it should be the uncut versions, no matter where you are from. Another benefit of the pack keys, unlike the individual ones, assuming of course you live in a place with limitations.
Okey-doke - I'll leap before I look on this occasion and report back with any problems there may be.
Thank you, I have mailed humble bundle directly and asked them to clarify.
I'm willing to buy the whole bundle if I can get my hands on the uncut versions. But if Steam starts to behave in their usual anal-retentive way I'm going to go ballistic!

Well, the keys activate, so no problems in that regard. I'm just installing Saints Row 2 now to see if it's censored, but there's a shit load of languages in the Steam language selector, which is generally a good - albeit inconclusive - sign.

As for SR3, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the response from HB support, as I already have the uncensored version on my account.

Just so you all know, GameFly is also doing a DeepSilver sale and you can actually get Dead Island: Riptide for $5.00 cheaper on there if anyone is interested.

Here's The Link

EDIT And I don't think it's STEAM only either, but I'm not positive on this. (But there IS DRM (I think...))

Region locked? I can not see anything there ("There are no items in this category.")

Searching for Riptide do bring up a sale on it, but it is £17.50 here which is roughly $27. So for those on this side of the pond it is still a bit cheaper with HB, and you get the other games also if you do not have them.

How is it Steam's fault that the German government is retarded? Valve is just following German law like they must, so don't blame Steam but blame the idiotic Angela Merkel and all that voted for her.

amok: It is a bit fun, yes. It is a little brain dead, but if you liked the first Risen it is more of the same. The writing is a little generic.
Combat is a little bit different, and you are by default fighting with a sword and a pistol.

I will probably get this for Sacred 2 Gold Steam keys, as the version I got from GG has Securom and it refuses to run.
avatar
jamesbuc: Just a note, the Secrurom was taken out a bit back, the GG version doesnt have Securom anymore.
I know. But for some reason my version is called "Sacred 2 Gold (Old)" and it still needs Securom.... I have contacted GG support about the issue before, when it crashed and refused to recognise my key again. All they could do was give me a new key (which also did not work).

Anyway, got it on Steam also now. Uninstalled my "dead" GG version and are now installing the new one.

Germany allows the selling of Uncut versions of games to adults, in the same way that pornography is available. Steam doesn't allow the redemption of uncut serials in Germany, even when legally bought. Is that Germany's fault or Steam's?

Yeah, I think the link is a bit finicky... but yeah GF has a sale on 10 or so games from DeepSilver if you look it up.. Um... Yeah the sale is good for people who might want something from there and can pay in USD, otherwise go for the HIB for sure (I am). I just wanted to let it known that there is a possible alternative for some people =)

mistermumbles: While we're at it...

PC-only? WTF?!? =P

Profanity: Well that isn't exactly the bundle's fault that the games aren't available on mac. Doesn't mean they shouldn't put them up too.
Well, actually I was shooting more along the line of "What, I need a computer to play this?" since we already had a Steam-only and Windows-only exclamation before that. ;)

Yeah, I get that a lot. Your not the only one not understanding the JuSchG (the laws protecting minors)

I blame Angie for a lot of things, but the censorship by the JuSchG and the Bundesprüfstelle isn't one of them.
As an adult I'm entitled to posess, play and buy any game (or media) from Index list A. Most of the games aren't bad enough to be on the List B which gets a tad more complicated.
Other Titles I can import from Austria, or the UK for my private use and it's not illegal to do so.

But STEAM is the asshole-company not allowing me to play those games because they don't care if I'm an adult and if I'm entitled to buy the games from Index list A or even buy them from UK to install and them in Germany.

Ergo, it's Steam fault.

jamyskis: But get this into your thick fucking skull - you yourself have absolutely no fucking say in what other people do with their keys. It is none of your fucking business, and you are really starting to get on people's nerves with your self-righteous white knight bullshit.

Comprende?

Aver: Pro-tip: It doesn't matter what is your opinion and how good your arguments are, because when you use words like that you end up sounding like angry 12 year old COD player anyway.
Pro-Pro-tip: Amok is a troll and a lot of us are sick and tired of his constant whining and threadcrapping.

Hell, he's GOG's biggest troll right now and that's saying something.

Anyway, back on topic. I bought the bundle despite owning half the stuff in it just for The Full Package since it was cheaper than buying it on its own last weekend. It kinda sucks since I wanted to give my extra copies to a friend of mine but oh well.

You could just be nice and spend a dollar for him :)
First thought: “Where are the DRM-free Linux versions of these games?”
Second thought: “Bah, bar SR3, which of these did I ever want anyway?”

I'm so disappointed. I hope it doesn't turn into an habit.

PS: the first thought is ironic, I do not expect these to go DRM-free, let alone Unix.
