Ghorpm: BTW: the game itself is not bad at all, a very enjoyable button mashing game ;)
avatar
Grargar: Of course not. The thing is that the game's current BTA price is $7.25, raising a huge question mark as to who the hell would consider this price a deal. Not helping is the fact that Humble Store currently has a 50% discount on Hammerwatch for €2.99 (or $3.99 I guess).
Quiet, you don't want to annoy the ignorant impulse buyers, do you? :D

Yeah BTA level in general is a bit risky because sometimes customers can do something that nobody is able to predict. But this?! With a completely forgettable PWYW it was OBVIOUS that people would buy 4-packs and thus increasing BTA out of proportion. It's actually kinda amazing that somebody was not able to see that... Perhaps we will see a special case when BTA is higher than 8$ :D

Now, that would be truly hilaridiculous. I think the best way to handle it would have been to make a minimum BTA, like say $3 or something, to avoid this joke.
Hmm, lets see, 7.35 for one copy of the game... or 65 cents more for 4 copies of the game.
Yeah.. this is funny.

When I opened the page BTA was 6.24$, now it's 7.36$ everything is still possible :D

stg83: "Challenge accepted", said the marketing genius at humble who came up with this one. ;)
avatar
chean: Haha, maybe the explanation is "there": a Humble experiment to see how crappy they can make their bundles and still have them sell.

avatar
spindown: That's what people said about the Banner Saga "bundle".
avatar
chean: Probably so, but the Banner Saga bundle looks like the deal of the year compared to this new one.
so true!

i can;t believe they have the audacity to call this a bundle...
I bet "Humble" "Bundle" is just using this daily bundle spree as a way to test out silly madcap marketing strategies toying around with various ideas to see how they do without really risking a full week(s) run time. I could respect them for trying to maximize the payoff with their bundle, and like others have commented HB has gotten really stale so they need to find something innovative (not that this is it).

BTA startet at 6, I think.
Which still is way more than the current price in the Humble Store. xD

Maybe they're trying to gauge how low they can go and people will still buy. Or they're trying to get people out the habit of expecting lots of games for cheap. Lots of hate on video game sales, lately.

Fuck this, the only reason I started playing games again was because of Steam sales, and I am out if these sales don't exist- lots of other hobbies to choose from.

I noticed that too; I was on my smaller screen smart device but was sure I read a $6 not $8... I was beginning to think I really need glasses.

My guess is that people who are buying this are probably making sure not to give a single cent as humble tip and give it all to charity. That is the only plausible reason why anyone would buy this.
that's.... the most pointless bundle I have seen....
