I am slightly worried. Hopefully over nothing. This, Banner Saga and X3 make it almost seem like they are testing the waters to see how well they do.

This is the future, folks.

chean: Yay! Thanks, Humble for giving my wallet another day of rest. :P

Sarcasm aside; I guess a positive side of this lousy excuse for a bundle is that... surely the daily bundles can't get any worse from here. Right? Right??
"Challenge accepted", said the marketing genius at humble who came up with this one. ;)

That's what people said about the Banner Saga "bundle".

i said that about the banner saga bundle.. and then again about the worms bundle.. so... never say never.. :P
Hammerwatch is a REALLY funny game which I have beaten twice already, but what were they thinking?
HB gets more ridiculous every day, hopefully the HumbleIndieBundles stay cool.

Haha, maybe the explanation is "there": a Humble experiment to see how crappy they can make their bundles and still have them sell.

Probably so, but the Banner Saga bundle looks like the deal of the year compared to this new one.

If more and more bundles will be doing this going forward then I'll just wait it out and get the games elsewhere cheaper when they come up in a normal sale. I felt I got a great deal on Hammerwatch when I got it for $2.39. Other posts after mine show it was as low as $1.49 before, which would have been $2 less for four copies than the 4 pack here.

Btw, the humble store is currently selling Hammerwatch for less than the BTA for one copy.

Indeed, at the moment it's just hard for me to imagine them coming up with still worse. Though, I can't be sure of course, thus I "asked" twice for reassurance at the end of that quote. ;)
the next bundle will be.... pay $15 or more and get the soundtrack for "some game", pay $60 or more and you get said game.. for free!
And for beating the average... you get rick roll'd.
I'd like to call it the "fuck-you-buy-this-game-bundle". ;)

Stooner: Saddest thing is that I would find it interesting, if was 5/6$ for the 4-pack...
avatar
stg83: Yeah atleast the 4-pack would make some sense, this bundle seems to be designed by a master troll who must be snickering now like Muttley seeing all the people falling for it. :P
Technically it is a 4-pack. By paying 8$ you get Hammerwatch fom BTA level + 3 gifts from the highest level so 4 games in total. And I've seen forum posts (somewhere else) that confirm it.

Ghorpm: BTW: the game itself is not bad at all, a very enjoyable button mashing game ;)
Of course not. The thing is that the game's current BTA price is $7.25, raising a huge question mark as to who the hell would consider this price a deal. Not helping is the fact that Humble Store currently has a 50% discount on Hammerwatch for €2.99 (or $3.99 I guess).

Wow, that's some baad bundles, all right. Most definitely scraping the bottom there, Humble.

On a somewhat related note, did anyone here actually bite on the Team17 bundle? Not saying it was a good deal, quite the opposite, but I'm curious if anyone around here plays Worms: Clan Wars.

Yes I know that is still not good enough I meant that the $8 unlock should have been for a 4-pack instead of 3 so technically total would be 5 copies of Hammerwatch only then it would be remotely considered a good deal in my book.

It's bad enough when companies end up running games on both GOG and somewhere else at the same time. But if you're in a discount war with yourself? You've screwed up.
