OldFatGuy: I see you are well trained. No worries, so are a vast majority.
amok: no point replying to this, I do not want to deal with people who are insulting and patronising. You have made your position quite clear - there is only one correct opinion, yours, and anyone who do not share it are brainwashed bullshiters.
You're right, no point. There is no argument that consumers are better off accepting less than what they need to. It's a CHOICE. I'm merely pointing out the FACT that it's a CHOICE that goes against their long term interests.
You can justify the choice all you want, but the bottom line is this. Consumers do not HAVE TO ACCEPT one key for all. And if they CHOSE NOT TO, future bundles wouldn't be like this. And it is also FACT that separate keys provide more options for consumers.
If consumers as a whole demanded DRM stop tomorrow, then DRM would stop tomorrow. That's also a FACT. Again, you can deny, excuse, or ignore it all you want to, but that's the way the market works. So every time a consumer buys something with DRM, they are responsible for it's existence and spread. And yes, I'm guilty too.
Whether it's DRM or just more options (there is NO SCENARIO where one key for all provides more options for consumers than separate keys for all. NONE. There is no choice that could be made with one key that can't be made with many) consumers have in their power to determine what is and isn't available in the marketplace.
Sorry for pointing out reality. You don't like it, join the crowd. I don't like the reality that most consumers don't give one little tiny fucking shit about other consumers and always only act in their very own limited self interest rather than what's best for everyone overall.
So yeah, please don't bother responding.
