Ok so I noticed in there video the games are redeemable on Steam, Onlive, or Desura. Steam and Onlive are not DRMfree in a sense they are the DRM... also what the heck is Desura?

how can they say the games are DRMfree when the only way you can play them is to redeem them on these platforms. On a side note what IS Desura and how does there DRM compare to say GamersGate or Steam?

It's not the only way. Redeeming them is only an option.

You can download them with browser or torrent.
I have no clue how Steam does their thing, but I have a question: does Steam release any titles GOG-style, without activation, login-to-play, or software-key requirements?
Yeah you can download those games DRM free straight from HIB site - including linux versions and extras (like soundtracks).

If some game is running under DosBOX they can't include Steam DRM into it (because of GNU GPL) but you still need Steam client for downloading and installing.

Yep, in fact you can just copy the files out of the folder and use your own version of DOSBox with 'em.

The Steam, Desura and OnLive keys are just bonuses. The main way of getting the games is direct download or torrent from the HIB site.
