The Botanicula issue aside, I am surprised this bundle didnt have the option to donate to Child's Play.

SimonG: Why don't we all cancel our GOG preorder for this game and buy another 9.99$ GOG. So Amanita gets nothing and GOG still has it's sale.

If you still want the game, you can get it for 0.01$

I haven't preodered it. Usually I wouldn't even think of anything like this, but this is a dick move beyond anything I've seen in the indie scene so far. And, if GOG has a good lawyer, has some serious legal implications ....
That would cost us a heck of a lot in refund fees. :(

We'll be seeing what we can do beyond what we've worked out with Amanita to give all of you who preordered something.

And, in case you guys wondered, yeah, that was us who spent $300 bucks on the HIB store. While I can't say I'm thrilled with the surprise that Amanita sprung on us, there's nothing wrong with giving to charity. :)

Its a shame that someone else's "charity," ends up being GOG's responsibility to image manage, Its very strange.

spinefarm: They do this cause they fucked up... ;) With this stunt they just show that either Amanita have an awful management or they put pen to a false deal with GOG. Either way they screwed up.

We're a bit hit and miss on the swearing. Really, I dont care so much about it, as long as it's not in post subjects. On the other hand, attacking other people is something that I do care about, and discordiac stepped in when a few of you guys were getting a bit too hot under the collar in another thread.

So: cursing? I'd rather you avoid Carlin's 7 Things You Can't Say on TV, but I won't whack you for it. Personal attacks and harassment? Yeah, that might get you suspended.

Be civil to each other is all I ask.

No worries TET - gameon is a nice guy but he got a firey temper... So do I sometimes :D

Nah. We've got tons more lined up, and they're freaking phenomenal games. This is a slight hiccup, and while it's not perfect, you don't always get to have everything perfect. We'll do everything we can to make our customers happy if they're upset by this, and we'll chalk this up as a lesson learned as we move into a new marketplace.

And we'll keep bringing you guys the best games we can find, regardless of who made them or when. ;)

This is not all about money. Honestly, do you want to support dishonest developer? It's different story if gog team knew about the bundle in advance. Though i believe Amanita deserves second chance, but at least please give an explanation.

And people keep downrepping me for swearing. (i got rid of it now). Its a bit harsh, because i am a nice guy. I have personal issues, and its hard to take.
Don't feel too bad. Actually the rep prove nothing. I can name plenty of guys losing their rep on consistent basis, yet it's no big deal for them. And i had history with rep point too last year, lost plenty of them because there were some misunderstanding.

discordiac, as far as I can tell, was talking to both of you all. As for downrepping, well, the GOG forums are like "Whose line is it Anyway?"

That is to say, "everything's made up and the points don't matter." :P

I hope this doesn't screw up future indie games on GOG including games from Amanita. One screwup should not ruin the future of these games on GOG.

Oh and Amanita, although I am not angry at you personally, you should probably avoid doing something like this again in the future.
