Hello! I am a newcomer to gog.com, but have already purchased several of my old favorites...(got Rollercoaster Tycoon today wooohoo! My oldest boy loved that game!).
I love the My Account Shelf, and would love to have an application to launch that did the same thing only to play the games and access their bonus content that you've downloaded. Something I can label on my desktop for the kids, instead of having a ton of shortcuts cluttering the desktop, or buried in yet another folder, with a ton of links for each game and its content. It gets confusing for my 10 year old.
Nothing overly invasive like Steam for example, its obnoxious with its pop ups and ads, and an optional add on so people dont have to have it, but it would be awesome.
The other thing, add more funtionality for Facebook. I can twitter about lots of things on here, but not use facebook....I don't have a twitter account and couldn't keep up with another social media thing, too busy gaming! :D I want to share with my other geeky friends how awesome gog is, and they can finally get the games they've heard me rave about.
I also wanted to add how much I believe in your cause here. If game developers really want to stop some piracy, they'll allow these older games to be sold, and more in depth concepts for rights management can be seen. Games like Dungeon Keeper 2, which while having the legally purchased CD for, you couldn't play on Windows XP without 'hacking' the DRM because it wouldn't recognize you had a disc in the drive....And Capcom (in the news recently) needs to get a grip...buying the right to play a game once only? I replay all of my favorite games frequently and think re-playability is a selling point for a great game.
Thank you for what you are doing...not just for resurrecting truly epic older games but in helping change the way companies see DRM. :)
