Darvond: What do you expect from a game that is basically made by a single man? Would you rather play Exile 1, then if all you care about are graphics and sound?

groze: I'm not defending the OP, since I love the free games that came with my GOG account, and I wouldn't even delete the games I bought in here on a whim and found out I don't like them (Outcast and Shadow Man, I'm looking at you!),
OMG What's wrong with Outcast now? That's one of my most favorite games EVA! What's not to like?
(BTW I'm not going to down rep groze just for not liking Outcast - tempting though it is!)

I've debated that to exhaustion on the Outcast subforums, along with Sufyan. There are a whole lot of things not to like about Outcast, but if you're interested in knowing what they are, check this thread.

I'm not saying the fans shouldn't like the game, but for newcomers it offers nothing particularly exciting.

Wow, OK, personally I found it magically immerse and became very invested in the characters and setting very quickly!
Saying that though, these 3D RPG/Open World games are just about my favorite genre - I love Fable and Jade Empire and the 3D GTAs, just off the top of my head and Outcast was maybe the first one I played (it was either that or Omikron)
Also the Remake kickstarter is looking touch and go to get funded? I'm losing my faith in humanity here!

I WILL say that the original CD release I had was the most broken retail release I've ever known though - the installer was terminally bugged and you had to download a 1.5Gb 'patch' which was basically the game without CD check! It was dial-up back then too, so good job the game WAS amazing when I finally got to play it!

JMich: I think they have removed games before, mostly Teenagent from what I recall. Not really sure though, can try looking if you wish.
Ok, the free games maybe; they're a different pair of shoes. But I doubt they would remove Geneforge.

I think someone bitched and moaned so much about being forced to have this perfectly OK adventure that GOG properly removed it from their account, IIRC

Darvond: Just hide them. There's no reason to 'delete' games just because you think they're crummy, and it'd be stupid to do so anyway in case you had a change of mind.

That'd be like if Nintendo let you delete your entire Network ID and all purchases within the sys--oh wait.
There is a reason. You just don't see it because your personality is too different from FcoEwerton's personality.

FcoEwerton: No music, shitty graphics. I got this game from some kind of luck event with other 4 games. Geneforce was the only one I didn't like.
You can listen to music while playing the game and the game play makes up for the shitty graphics.
