Yeah, I'll be perfectly honest when I say that I come to GOG exclusively for the graffix. The majority of the games here use some hot tub time machine 3dfX.
I'm really glad that GOG is here to provide me games with the prettiest images, I had to buy five new video cards and chain them up in SLI with liquid helium cooling system just to play on GOG.




Edit: Yes there is a hide games feature, I've had to deal with it when games were randomly hidden on my account.

He might just be talking about that Luck of the Draw thing that gog had a while back, not done by any private individual. It featured Geneforge as one of the winnings.

If I had the desire to delete a game from my account (I don't, because I paid good money for it!) it'd be Simon the Sorcerer 3D :P.

And get a little 'whiny' afterwards.

Side-note : The free game are really far from being bad. I would have gladly paid for most of them (this is intended for any new member who may fall under the impression that the free games are not time worthy)

i guess you can support personally and see what they think , in steam though you can contact support and ask them to remove games , they will say the standard rules that no refund , no changing mind etc once you confirm the game will be removed

You can try contacting support to see whether or not they'll do it, but really you could just hide those games.

I must admit *I* pressed the minus sign that time - There were a lot of niggly things about his post I found annoying but the clincher was 'Geneforce' It's Forge, dammit! FORGE!

I'm not defending the OP, since I love the free games that came with my GOG account, and I wouldn't even delete the games I bought in here on a whim and found out I don't like them (Outcast and Shadow Man, I'm looking at you!), but Spiderweb Software games are ugly as can be. Jeff Vogel is, in my opinion, highly overrated, the man could only gain by actually learning how to program graphics better, or at least hire some indie dev to do that for him... being a one-man team isn't an excuse anymore, Paper Sorcerer was done by one single guy, as well, and it looks gorgeous. Graphics aren't that big of a deal, obviously, they don't make good games alone, but just because you're going "old-school" doesn't mean you shouldn't make your games a bit more aesthetically appealing. The guy started making games way after the Infinity Engine was released and every single game running on that engine looks so much better than anything Vogel has put out.

Graphics don't "make or break" games, but they help. People can tell me all they want that the Spiderweb games are awesome, but just by looking at them I don't feel like playing through them. I like the old Ultima games, but they're a product of their time, and I'm willing to overlook their graphical appearance because of that, but Spiderweb games, made from 2000 onwards, are most definitely not a product of their time, and Jeff Vogel strikes me as being lazy, not wanting to learn how to at least give his games a bit of charm and graphical appeal.

Seems these days people are not entitled to have their opinions anymore. If one thinks a game is shitty and/or terrible then it's his/her opinion :p
