Yeah, I've gone to the extreme of profanity laced tirades aimed directly at other members. I've had so many brain fart moments I can't count, and have just overall acted like a jerk and an ass more often than I can count, yet mine does nothing but go up. Meanwhile, others don't do anything wrong except give away some games in the ninja thread and their number takes a hit. And I too like tinyE a lot, and yet his does nothing but mostly go down nowadays. All he does is tries to make people smile sometimes, in this mostly shitty world he tries to bring a few laughs (and often succeeds IMO as he frequently makes me LOL), and for that his number takes a beating.

If those aren't all signs of a system that is terribly borked, I don't what is.

Did you ever stop to think that TinyE's rep keeps going up and down in insane ways...because he worships (or at least has an avatar of) a sanity eating man-squid god? Cthulhu does whatever Cthulhu wants to do.

The rep system here is weird, I once lost about ten rep points when I went a few days without posting. The less you worry about the rep here, the better off you are, in my opinion

Considering there are pages and pages of some threads where nearly every single post has been low rated (some of my own threads Ive had locked because of the abuse), I can tell you for a fact you are incorrect.
In fact, one of the least troll-like newcomers is hovering around -100 right now just because some people with trollish behaviour and a stick up their arse have decided that anybody new is to be subjegated to a derepidemic and ostracised from the community.
One group of which is no doubt older, higher rep members who hate giveaways and deem anyone they immediately don't like (which is everybody) a troll and derep them.
There are other people and factors at work of course - Wakalo (that scammer) and his friends / alt accounts are always here as well as some likely but lesser known individuals / groups.

I can Phyllisly tell you, this is a factoid of partial impartiality you utter.

Is the ninja thread really that bad? I see no hidden posts on the last few pages.

If I had just joined the forum, I'd definitely have negative rep. I lose about 3-5 rep per day now.. and that's even if I don't post.

I figure if the rep system isn't fixed, I'll have negative rep in about a year or half a year.

Probably because others might try to uprep the derepped people, so they might not seem low-repped, but rest assured that rep has indeed been lost. (Let's just say there are more downreppers than upreppers).
