Leaving aside the "beat the average to get all games", how much do you pay for bundles?

Like in the current Origin Bundle. Supporting EA isn't an issue since it's all going to charity, so do you choose to pay the very minimum or do you give them a more significant amount since it's for a good cause?

Similar thing goes for all bundles I suppose, since you could choose to give all the money to charity in those as well.

Depends on the bundle and how many games there is in it. Anything between $15 - $50. I tend to think at least $5 per game I want to play is a minimum.

Usually $5 if the minimum is under that. If it's over I look at the overall games and see if there is stuff in there I will play and round up to the next dollar over what the amount to unlock everything is.

I used to give less for Steam only or mostly Steam games, but now a days I don't even bother buying those anymore.

The average, they let me pay what I want so I do exactly that.

As my "disposable" income and time have shrunk over the years I find that when I buy bundles I tend to go with as little as possible to get the games that look interesting.
I really wish I could pay £5 or more per the interesting games so that developers - especially those making the games I actually want to play - would get a fair share, but I can only afford to do that on rare occasions these days.

So I guess I fall in the cheep skate section really. :-)

Depends:

For DRM-Free ones I usually pay the "official" price (i.e. the real price of the games) or more unless I already own the majority of the games sold.

For DRM using ones (only bought the THQ one yet), I pay the minimum possible to get the game I am interested in.

For the typical bundle, I tend to pay 10-20 dollars. A bit more than normal, but let's face it. If people are willing to drop 11 USD for a box of smokes, I can drop that kind of money for things that'll actually help people.

For something like the Humble EA DRM bundle, 0 USD, because I've got better uses for my time than struggling with an obnoxious and entirely unneeded client just to play a few games that I have curiosity about. Sure, EA isn't getting a penny from this and they honestly don't need a red cent, but ramble ramble.

About a year or two ago, I paid as little as possible.

Now I do $10 whenever I can.

I will admit to paying as little as possible in the "pay what you will" and bundle deals; I justify this for now because I just got back into PC gaming. However, I think I would enjoy the games more if I paid a higher amount because it's easy to shrug the bundle contents as cheap impulse buys rather than serious games regardless of initial quality.

Depends entirely on how interested I am in the games that are featured in the bundle. If i'm only mildly interested in one or two games in the bundle, I won't pay much, but if the bundle is full of interesting games, I'll pay more, depending on how much money I actually have (which usually is not super much, so rarely above $10)

I tend to be a bit erratic in what I pay. There is a lot of little factors that can make a particular bundle worth more or less. Where I'm at financially is a big part of it, but for a decent bundle I prefer to pay more than what is average.

However, after getting a couple of them redundancy sets in where I'm not getting a game for the first time, but maybe looking to snag the Linux version of a game I bought here. The Alan Wake bundle I paid very little for since I have already bought the game more than once and was really just getting it for the O.S.T. which I had been hoping might eventually end up here, but never has. In those cases the bundle becomes less attractive.

Just out of the pure financial reality of it, i doubt I will ever slap down a large amount because I just don't have much spare cash to be overpaying for something I don't have to. It is also unlikely at this point that bundles have much left to offer without getting the bigger games in the mix, which is happening, but generally bound to clients. In that situation I'm just wildly less interested in what is being offered, and I would rather abstain than pay a minimum when the personal value of it isn't worth more than the average.

It depends. I usually pay a dollar or two above the average price, but sometimes I'll splurge for $25 if I'm really interested.

The Origin bundle only got $1.01 from me, because that was quite literally all I could spend at the time on video games.

Depends on the games in the bundle. Also, the more bundles I buy, the less I tend to pay for them, and I buy a lot now....

So usually, it's the minimum to get the games I want, but sometimes more. I paid $3 for current humble origin, might raise the amount once the bonus ones are added. I paid $7 for Deep Silver bundle.

IG, IR and Groupees I almost always pay the minimum. IGS I sometimes pay $1.50 if it's a game I think I'll enjoy instead of just "trying it out."

this +1. the explosion in number of bundles (really too much.great choice for consumer but...there is such thing as too much of a good thing..especially with so many non bundle Indies and kickstarters), finite budgets really mean paying minimum to get games I'm most interested I'm.I'd be surprised if anyone admitted to buying every bundle out there well above the minimum)
