take the free games and run?!

Or

Will we actually get an influx of new members to our wee community?!

:)
Doing that would be stupid. I know running is healthy and all, but the free games this time around are so much fun you'd do better if you stay an play before running.

I wonder how many people are going to take the Fallout Games even though they already have them. Are we going to have a crapload of Fallout Giveaways to begin the New Year. Or will they not be able to give them away because GOG loses the license to sell them at the end of the year.

I tried gifting them to myself & got a message that free games can no longer be gifted.

Did you get hit by the Acme Anvil afterwards? So, you will no longer be able to gift them either. There goes the 3 million giveaways planned for next year.
I've joined because of the free Fallout some time ago. And now we come full circle. I already had all Fallouts but still it's a great gesture by both Interplay and Gog
I think every free game here has its fair share of 'grab and runs', but I also think they end up with quite a number of new GOGlodytes that stick around.

Have to admit I was really surprised to see these games as freebies. Grabbed Tactics to complete my trilogy on my GOG shelf, even though I own them all on disc.

Odd, it worked for me.

It's a temporary deactivation, which means you may have beaten the cut-off!

I view it more as a big middle finger directed at Bethesda. ;)

Correct. I don't think Bethesda will be quick to make a deal with GOG after this. xP

Nah, it would have been a real big middle finger if we'd be allowed to gift them too :D
But I'm reading some people were able to do it before, cool ;D
I don't think that's how it'll be for most people. They'll see a list of games... their list... and will want to add more cool games to it. The biggest hurdle is getting people to take the time to create an account. They needed some incentive, and free games is a great incentive. :)

Gotta love gog.com! DRM-free for life.

I already owned one of the games so I only got the two free ones. And also Trine was 99 cents so I picked it up as well. I like the sales on GOG it fits my budget.

It probably resulted from failed negotiations, why otherwise just basically say STFU Bethesda? :D
