I'm trying to eat away at my ever growing backlog of unfinished or unplayed games taking up space on my computer. I've made a small amount of progress and I'm hoping to finish three more games before the end of the year, making my total for games completed this year ten.
I've recently been using "howlongtobeat.com" to keep up with my backlog and also to select games. I was hoping I could play the shorter games and save the longer ones for when I don't have so many left and I can take more time on them.

What games do you own that you haven't played or finished?

It's long and it contains lots ;-)

Too much to list here, that's for sure.

I have a dozen of more that I've not yet finished, but plan to. Currently I'm concentrating on To the Moon and Kingdoms of Amalur. I have so many games here in my backlog that I'm at the point where I'm only grabbing free games, buying extremely cheap games, or the very very rare newer game that's on a decent discount. At the rate I complete games (not particularly fast), and considering the limited time I have to play them, I have enough in this list to keep me going for probably more than 3 years.

Still, I find it hard to pass up a good deal...
www.backloggery.com/zchinque

Some 85 titles or so.

The biggest "problem" is that there are soooo many RPGs. Of the top of my head, I have

Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Ogre Battle
Ogre Battle 64
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
Fallout 3 (with DLC)
Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate 2
Neverwinter Nights
Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale 2
Temple of Elemental Evil
Planescape: Torment
Persona 3
Persona 4
Super Mario RPG
Morrowind
Oblivion

all backlogged, and all going to take a fair chunk of time to play. And I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting.

I had reached about 200 games that I own and never finished, but going through them I realized I don't actually enjoy playing most of them. I cut down my list to these games, but I'm sure I won't finish all of these either.

Boiling Point: Road to Hell
Deus Ex 2: Invisible War
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition
Diablo II + Lords of Destruction
Divinity 2
Enclave
EvilQuest
Gothic 2-3
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
IREM Arcade Hits (about 40 games here I think)
La-Mulana
Mega Man X Collection
Mercenaries
Metro 2033

Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword
Overlord 1-2
Qasir Al-Wasat: A Night in-Between

SCPM: I had reached about 200 games that I own and never finished, but going through them I realized I don't actually enjoy playing most of them.
Smart.

At this point (i.e. before actually starting to play them), I fully intend to complete all the games on my backlog list, but I'm not shackling myself to that intent. I look upon it like books: if I'm not enjoying it, it's not worth continuing. There are far too many others that are worth my time to bother wasting time on something that's just not fun.

You're wise to come to that realization.
I have 833 unfinished games on my list out of which 530 are unplayed... Most of the games that I have not played yet either comes from bundles, collections or are free games that I just added to the list with the intent of possibly playing it at some point. There are also a good amount of games that I have picked up for a silly low amount of money on a whim, thinking "well, this might possibly be good" (usually when a game gets marked down to ½€, it is not, but you never know)
Steam
Avadon
Alien Shooter
Alien Shooter II
Aquaria
Cryostasis (waiting on new setup)
Cthulhu Saves the World
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil
Drakensang
Drakensang: River of Time
Dreamfall (waiting on Dreamfall chapters)
Faerie Solitare
Fallout: New Vegas
Hexen II
Mass Effect 1 and 2 (waiting for 3 to get low in price)
Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes
Overlord (does this get any better later on?)
Overlord 2
Psychonauts
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Kotor 1
Torchlight 2
Ys: The Oath in Felghana
Zombie Shooter
Zombie Shooter 2

GOG:
The Longest Journey run 2
Sanitarium
Arx Fatalis (BUGS EVERYWHERE)
Ultima Underworld 1 + 2
Soulbringer (I need to fix the text size before I even try to play this)
Nox
Broken Sword
Beyond Good and Evil (I'll get to it Vagabond, honest!)
Darkfall: The Journal
Sacrifice

Believe it or not that is about half of what the backlog was at the start of summer. I just need to get off my ass and play some of the older ones.

You people must have more money than me....
I do have a backloggery account but, unless something has changed, howlongtobeat is easier for me to use. It's much easier to just search games and hit a button than type them all in.

My problem are RPGs, really. I end up spending a lot of time on them and then I don't even finish them. That just leaves them on the unfinished list and takes up a lot of time.
Games that I own - too many to list. I've finished about 60 of them in my lifetime and that's just a tiny fraction, around 15% or so. Some of them were huge like Baldur's Gate 2, some are middleground like Gothic, but I guess the majority are short games with just a couple of hours gamelength. The rest of the collection is not totally unplayed, just unfinished. Yeah, it's quite pathetic; blame it on those bundles, sales and cheap digital distribution of indies and classic games. Then again, I'm probably more a collector than a player. I like to try new games and play around with them but seldom have the patience to finish each and every game, most are just too long for my taste. I should probably start collecting demos instead, heh. ;)

Anyway, I don't really have a clear backlog, but I started grouping the games in my collection by the likelihood that I will ever play and/or finish them. Like SCPM, I have a lot that I'm not really interested in playing through. I don't have enough time to waste it on mediocre games.

You really intend to spend much time with e.g. Hammerfight? I'm curious if you'll enjoy it. :D

My backlog is currently 42 games. 18 of them are RPGs.

I have been pretty happy recently that I have been able to drop it from around 60, partly because I have had a bit more free time in the last few weeks (girlfriend is doing exams) and partly because I have tried (not extremely successfully) not to buy any more games.

This is made a little easier for me because I don't use steam and I only game on my macbook.

I am currently playing:
Baldur's Gate
Far Cry
Gish
Shatter

I am making a conscious effort not to buy games that I am unlikely to play, but then we have sales...

I have the same problem. I think that it might even break GOG's post length limitations. :P
I have to take one day to make a list in backloggery. I have hundreds of unfinished games, too many to list here. On Steam alone i have 508 games and only 179 are installed, and i haven't even touched some of the installed games. I also have quite a few games on other services, especially GOG and GG. Not to mention the physical games i have. And that's only for PC, i still have plenty of games for my consoles that i have never played.

Same here.

Hmmm, i played Hammerfight once and enjoyed it. I heard that it's impossible to finish it due to the insane difficulty, though.

Mine is really quite little, because yay student budgets (and also yay completionism, I guess). My wishlist is the expansive creature.

Not played/played a little of:
- Amnesia: The Dark Descent (I think I overestimated my willingness to play this)
- Machinarium
- Braid

Playing:
- Fallout
- Ultima VII
