I circled the point of interest in the pic.

EDIT: OK, so likes and views have different update times. I guess there's no worldwide conspiracy, then.

The views update less often.
Youtube has a buggy concept of numbers. That or views reset daily. I haven't figured out which one yet.

It all just seems so dodgy, shady, underhanded. I read something on reddit recently about YouTube removing a whole lot of views and likes because 3rd parties have been hired to artificially inflate everything.
If you check it again, you'll see that the likes/dislikes have increased, but the views have not. The likes counter probably just checks how many likes there have been, while the view count is probably stored somewhere and updated every now and then.
It could also be that people need to watch it from beginning to end to count as a view, while like is only a push of a button, but since everyone's always the 303th or whatever viewer of all the new videos, I'm pretty sure it's just updated more rarely.
It's a bug. Anytime I watch one of TB's videos on the same day it was released, the number of viewers will be between 300 and 310. Never lower, never higher. Then if I go back after a few days, a realistic number of views (100.000+) will be shown.

The views update in real time until 500ish, then it only updates 1 time a day. The votes though are always real-time.

This. His War Z video had like several thousand likes/dislikes with the views still at 301.

I find it more funny he has ranted before about Steam having too much control over the market, so the natural choice is to promote their sales more.

Edit: Yes I realize he does it because people are looking for advice what games to get and what to avoid. I like his videos, I just find irony in that.

I have noticed he is plugging GreenManGaming a lot. Even in the video I took the screenshot from, he mentioned how Steam no longer has the best deals guaranteed. This is in stark contrast to a couple of years ago when noone could compete. He must be happy about this. I know I am :D

I'd like to see him give some coverage to sales elsewhere like GOG to give them some promotion. Though I think he did mention the 5 for 10 deal in a video, and GOG a couple other times since.

Why not? He is big enough now that he could cover anything he wanted and people would watch it.

TB also frequently reminds us that he says dumb shit all the time, and that we should remain skeptical towards anything he says or does. So don't expect him to be intelligent or consistent in any way.
