That site is not bad, but I join to those who says it's not as good as GOG.

One of their advantage is their blue coins system (although they give very few blue coins for purchases, but it's still more than nothing). As others said, they have both DRM free games and Steam keys (and UPlay and Origin keys as well). You can filter games by DRM, and you can choose DRM free. One more advantage is they also let you to purchase as a gift (I know both Steam and GOG allows gift purchases, but from what I saw, many digital game downloading services doesn't allow this, so you can only buy for yourself).

Maighstir: Do note that the installer might need to be running (not actually installing, just showing the first screen or whatever) when copying the files, as the files are otherwise encrypted (or were, last time I used it).
The installer needs to be running, otherwise it encrypts the executable setup file (If you choose to keep the temporary files). Needless to say, it's still occurring.

tinyE: "weird shit"? Are you insinuating that "Les Misérables" is an unusual idea for a game? :P

Grargar: Well, this is some weird shit (a bit more literal than I expected) alright. Also, they have gazillions of simulators. Garbage Truck SImulator? Check. Airport Firefighter Simulator? Check. River Simulator? Check.

Having said that, there are some very nice games that neither GOG nor Steam have yet, like Paraworld for example.
It's the only place to buy The Precursors as well, which with Wesp's patch is supposed to be a pretty devecent FPS/RPG? I haven't gotten around to it yet, sadly.

Unfortunately, it's using StarForce. Dammit.
That rockstar bundle they got over there is enticing me to sign up.

glad to see gamersgate isn't complete rubbish.

Either the fan patch removes that or I downloaded a crack, I'm not sure, but I certainly didn't use Starforce ;)

Hmmm... according to this forum thread (old I know), StarForce was added retroactively with the 1.1 patch and it's using limited activations (3 to be precise). Wow, it's even worse than I thought and the changelogs for the unofficial patch make no mention of the StarForce removal.
GamersGate is okay, as others say. I prefer GOG personally, but even so.

Their DRM-free games are often cheap and once you get the trick to bypassing their installer lock bit everything goes fine. Also for me it is the place where I buy Steam games. They are at least cheap enough for me to okay buying DRMed games, TR2013 was about £5 a few months ago and DeusEx3 £6 too.

Looking in my backup file I did indeed download a crack. I bought the game so I don't see this as a naughty thing in the least, but I know some people disagree.

At any rate, this thread has made me want to open up a new thread about DRM-Free games on GamersGate. While GamersGate does have a DRM-Free filter, it can be quite a bit misleading and this "Other DRM" categorization is driving me nuts.
There was a thread about this a few weeks back. Search should have picked it up --- cant find it.. weird because i do know for a fact someone asked a very similar question....or am i imagining things
