The classy community and the availability of classic games???
Love for good games of old does not abide to imaginary lines drawn by men in suits!
Polish company => more European customers

Old games unavailable from anywhere else with no region limits => get people from all over the world buying from here

Just a couple of ideas.
The first four posts in this thread would actually hint that most users here did indeed learn their english before school. :)

Which means that maybe the share of anglophones is also here quite high.

Most communities don't display where you are from. So unless you ask users, you wouldn't actually have a clue of any kind of ratio.

This, also the fact that they won't license anything for which they can't get a worldwide license. Meaning that the only geographic restrictions are when a country is on a banking ban list.
Probably because of the fact that PC games tend to have no region coding, meaning one version could be played in an entirely different country with no problems. Such as with games like Star Wolves or expansion packs exclusive to Europe.

This means that PC games will generally have a more worldwide appeal regardless of what regions they were originally released in since they'll be playable without having to hunt down a particular console like you would with a console game.

Ironic post is ironic.
Not only multinational. It also has people with a lot of different taste in games. I have gotten games that I would not have heard or tried if not because of this community.
Easy magic or a wizard did it.That and all the great games you can buy.
There are gamers all over the world, but in most countries some games were never available, even though you could read about them in computer magazines.

So now it is possible to get those games, you could only dream of in your childhood. I mean, for non Anlgosphera guys this is sometimes the first opportunity to do so, so we are present and loud :)

Or you know, pirate them.

I'm not personally one that thinks piracy is a good thing, but I have a hard time opposing people who pirate games which they genuinely can't buy because the publisher won't sell them the game.

Personally, I like that GOG is making these games available to all so that people can buy them legitimately.
Another reason beyond those mentioned in all the above posts is that some game company / game forums if they do have an international community are split by language groups or country regions. I remember Blizzard forums operated this way. You didn't necessarily always have to post in the forum of your country/region, but that was what you joined automatically upon signing in. As such, different groups would not always interact with each other as much. It did mean people often got to post/read in their native language, but it did limit international community interaction, which is a shame.

Here we're all together.

As others have mentioned, the classy community and classic games and having your location on display, plus the forums are not divided up by language like many others are, so you don't get a French General Discussion and a German General Discussion just the one general discussion forum.
And Crazy Dave beat me to what I was trying to say in a better way. :D Pretty much this:

Ich will ein "deutsches Diskussion" Forum!!!! :)

I see it the same way, Gaming is international (I learned my english long with games long before I got it in school) and everyone in the world loves the old games :)
