granted i dont drink often, it is 200.00USD per bottle of turkish honey mead here in Iraq (totally against policy to have any whatsoever) so i would ..... never drink it ;)
Superbowl Sunday we are allowed two beers, the Marines Birthday we are allowed to drink (Marines can drink........one time... in Fallujah these few Marine women i know got smashed and ran to the base gate topless saying how they were gonna go party in the town...)
Most I ever really drink here is a shot of Nyquil decanted ;)

Assuming I don't need to drive in the next 8 hours, its when I feel like if I drink any more I'm going to throw up.

DrIstvaan: It's a fun thing all three of us Hungarian users who have posted here are non-drinkers, given the fact that Hungary has a remarkably high alcohol consumption rate :-).

ofcourse, i'd be a non-drinker too if I had to drink hungarian beer :p

Is it that hard to get German or Belgian stuff in Hungary?
I'm pretty terrible after I've had more than 3-4 beers, so I try to never drink more than that (this doesn't mean that it never happens).
I also like an occasional glass of scotch. Not to get drunk, I just really like the taste.
... when your back teeth are drowning.
Stop?
Depends... Most of the times, the lack of money stop me. I normally drink cocktails and liqueurs (Kamikaze, Atlantic, Blue Lagoon, Archers, and similar stuff), and being a little more expensive, I don't get to drink a lot.
Although, if I really do want to get drunk, cheap-ass tequila / vodka shots can do the job quite fast.

orcishgamer: ...drinking of course!
For me, if I lose count of my drinks I have to stop drinking. Of course, I have a math degree so maybe I'm cheating:)
What's your method?

It's easy. All you have to do is adapt to where you are. You don't get dead drunk when you're eating at a restaurant. You might go for a total blackout when having a barbecue with your friends.
If we're talking drinking in general I believe there's no stop. You feel good when you drink and feel more good the more you drink go for it and feel real good. The only restraint is to don't do it often as in not every week.
Then again I'm from sweden and we are known for pooling all our drinking on weekends (Paycheck weekend is fabulous. :P ) and get really drunk so what do I know?

Well, my Dutch didactics teacher works part-time as a translator/interpreter for some Belgian beer company, I might ask her about it ;-).

:D
try to get some Duvel, or if you are really, really luck, try and get a Westvleteren ( http://www.sintsixtus.be/eng/brouwerij.htm ). It's hard to get, even when you are from Belgium, but it tastes divine. If you're more into the 'soft' stuff, try Duvel or Stella.
and zomg, you know dutch :D. Bier en tieten olé!
