I would hold off on the romantic stuff and work on finding her a safe way if getting out if her abusive relationship. Once that is done, then see about dating. Priorities.

Q: Do you own a printer?
In my experience most women who claim to have been hit by their BFs actually make that shit up. No, really. I know that there's violence against women out there and it's a terrible thing, it's just that in all four cases among friends and family I'm aware of it was women lying to get attention or something. And if the only thing you have to go on is a statement by a girl who is cheating on her BF, even if it's with you, you should be skeptical. Just sayin'.

XD - my dinner almost got out of my nose. ;-P

hedwards: Honestly, this is something for the police to handle. There's no telling how far an abuser will go to remain in control and the police are the best bet for providing a meaningful level of protection.
Though i would agree to let police handle all that they can, i would highly disagree with the statement that police are our best bet for meaningful protection. They are too busy and too few. Their priorities are enforcement not protection -unless protecting businesses. Best to be responsible for oneself, walk softly, be smart, think ahead, and be able to protect oneself.

Once you're in that sort of situation they're your best bet. The safest thing is to not be in that position to begin with.

And it's rather cynical to suggest that they care more about protecting businesses than private citizens. Businesses have the advantage in most cases of being in a fixed location.

I feel like I've been swept into the Dot Matrix and can't remember if I swallowed the red or blue printing ribbon.
If I were you, I'd beat the shit out of him, and make her my woman. The end .

There's always a printer when it comes to women.
Just keep fooling around and let her figure it out, try not to get too into it, it's her call after all.
That is if you're down with OPP :)

LOL - I'm not even going to ask for an explanation of OPP because I'm pretty sure my understanding of the acronym doesn't apply here...

And ZOMG - the printer...again! ;-D

I had to search for what OPP meant to clarify but it means what I thought it did.

MunkiSiren: How do you know she isn't hitting him and he's hitting her back? Have you seen evidence of it or it just her word? If you knew he was hitting her why didn't you call the police or an organization that deal with domestic violence?

I'm not trying to have a go at you or anything just some more information would be helpful with deciding how I feel about it.
Hey love you know we don't have a printer. Would it be okay if... :P (see above linked post)
