Well, considering I've never played either I wouldn't mind seeing them in the gog.com store so I can try it out for a laugh ( and a groan?). After all, paying 5.99 for a mistake is not such a big deal. I've done many mistakes that were worth alot more than 5.99 or 9.99 even :P

Ecstatica 1 + 2. They are not exactly terrible games, but I haven't seen enough ecstatica love in this forum.

These are epic games. I loved them so much and want them to come to GOG.

Yes, we definately need a game that removes system files along with the game when it's uninstalled (1.0 version at least) :P
Oh, and I've never considered Ultima IX a bad game, it was just bad Ultima Game (as was U8).

I've learned, within the years, that when it comes to videogames an overall "mediocrity" isn't necessarily a demonstration of the fact that the game won't excite and entertain you. Take for example [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of_the_Dead:_Road_to_Fiddler%27s_Green]Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green[/url], from the bloated, stupid and hollywood-style (hence a huge demonstration of crap and stupidity, again) fourth Romero's zombie movie.
The game is mean, no doubt about that, but I've played it the same and guess what? I've enjoyed it very much, I've adapted myself with its noticeable limitations (with no particular effort, I have to say) and I've had fun with it.
So who cares about mediocrity, I say... Videogames can surprise you even when they are mean....

I have fond memories of this one actually. I mean, in retrospect it was a little ridiculous... but I was young and free roam was boss.

Tekwar was awesome!! It was the first game by Intracorp which wasnt in the medium to low level of mediocrisy. It was actually a fairly decent game. It had NPCs you could talk to, if you pulled your gun at a busy street those walking by would start going "Don't shoot me!" and if there were police officers around they would start yelling "Drop your weapon now!". And this was before Half Life. : ) True the game was below average but still pretty good for Intracorp's standards. Better than Witchaven. : D

Heheh ...Ultima 8.... the Fallout 3 of its day.
I, myself, liked the game once they patched out some of the stupid jumping portions in the Hall of the Mountain King.
What I liked about the game were the unique spells and the way you could craft foci and then use them. The only problem I had with the spell system is that some of these spells were so obviously situational that it hindered some of the enjoyment for me.
What many people did not like about U8 was that it took the series into a direction not usually associated with the Ultima games: more action oriented and no ability to create your character and modify his stats like you were able to in the previous 7 games(9 if you include the 2 Underworld games which were made of pure win, of course).
Also, U8 was slated to have an add-on that would have expanded the game world some more. I think it was called "The Lost Vale", IIRC.

Action 52 is a fascinating study on the kind of shit people will actually try to sell if they think they can get away with it.

Give me Mad Dog McCree, such terrible games but I love the cheesy acting.

Frankly, even "bad" games can usually be enjoyed if you are willing to overlook a few flaws. I've rarely found a game that didn't have at least some redeeming features.
