Game with bad DLC for me is definitely any weapon DLC for payday 2 (multiplayer game where you are robbing banks for up to 4 players).

Honestly its just bad to charge money for weapons in a FPS. But i am not entirely against DLCs either, if the DLC is meaningful like a story continuation (Dead space 3 for example) or actually adds a lot to the game then its fine by me.

Ignoring dumb weapon and item packs I will say Dragon Age: Witch Hunt. Most of the Origins DLC is terrible but this one was higher price because it supposedly had more effort put in, then it comes out and it's a 90 minute slog through areas already seen in the main game with a tiny bit of story at the end. Lamest thing I ever played.

Mass Effect 3 had that Citadel DLC for $15 too, which was insanely overpriced and purely combat focused.

For stuff on floppy you kinda have to give a break, only because they can fit so much on the disk. I don't recall if the Atari ST still used 5 1/4 floppies or 3 1/2 floppies. They probably sold content by the floppy. I think Flight Simulator for the Atari was like $30, and came on 2 disks... And it had a horrible framerate (1 every second maybe, more like 1 every 2 seconds), but that's floating point on 8bit machines...

Borderlands 2 is the worst example of DLC I've seen so far.

DLC, if done right can be good. Extra content, worth the money. Skyrim, for example has 3 DLC, and they are all decent sized expansions on the original game. They weren't content cut form the original game, but addons much like Morrowind's expansions. That DLC, I'm happy to buy when it is justified by good decisions and decent design. Gearbox and suck a fatty. The Borderlands games are good, but nothing justifies the amount of monetization of content they've done with those. Season passes were initally supposed to include all the DLC for a game. Then they cam along and said not even all the "expansion" would be added to the Season pass. The Seaon pass and GotY editions of the game include different DLC, and then there's all the cotume packs that sell for 0,99 and 2.99 each. And those aren't included with anything.

Wasn't there something recently, not with COD but maybe MoH where there was the diamond BLING armor DLC? I just have to wonder... WHYYYY????

Considering the fact that you could drive a muscle car in European roads, that means that you could combine base game and 2 DLCs. So why not release them all at once but instead charge you for map packs and vehicle packs? It would also save quite a bit on packaging and shipping, since instead of shipping 5 boxes you'd only ship one.

Either way, overpriced add-on content has existed for more than 30 years, as well as worthy add-on content. It is not a recent invention at all.

This! Many times over stickied in bold letters over half the forum page. And it's not just added on content that have been around for a long long time. Money grabbing have pretty much been here since the beginning of computer games. The only difference is that it's more apparent now because games gets more advert space.

I would disagree.

* Larger "DLC" are essentially what was earlier called "expansions" (though where expansions were often separate campaigns entirely or added on to the very end of the game, DLC are often more integrated with the story and world - but both integrated and separate kinds still exist as far as I know). Those weren't free back then either.
* Costumes or otherwise visual-only pieces that don't change the gameplay whatsoever are really my favourite kind of DLC (for the simple reason that there's no reason for me to get them because I'm not missing anything).
* New weapons, armour, and other pieces that are different (but not necessarily much "better") than what already is in the game - yeah, those really should have been in the game to begin with or added as free patches, but as long as what's already there is sufficient, it doesn't bother me.
* The only kind I really dislike is the one that primarily adds story pieces (for example characters that can be added to your party, in games where that's relevant) that you can't come back to if you've proceeded too far into the game, so you have to start a new playthrough to see it.

How is that bad thing? Its just an update expansion. Why do people buy a whole other box of the game when they can just download the update.

No one criticized Blizzard's Expansions for WOW so why is Capcom getting the criticism. And its not On Disc DLC you think Poison, Rolento, and other characters where there in the disc since they first released Super Street Fighter 4?

Besides Street Fighter 4 is already the best 2d Side Scrolling fighitng game that is still supported what reason is there to release a Street Fighter 5?
But if you by DA:O with all the DLC included and doing a Playthrough doing every content is the DLC content good in that sense?

It's an update to which they sell in separate, if they didn't do that, people wouldn't buy them, and also, not many people that like to pay for DLC use their credit card since if it is connected with it someone just expend the money carelessly through a bystander (a friend having dealt with that problem)

No, fucking no, Street fighter takes 6 years or more with fucking spinoffs, just look at Street Fighter 3 Alpha, Third Impact, Third Strike, Super Street fighter 3, and so on (without accounting pocket fighter or a deluxe tetris edition, and yes those exist in the fucking dreamcast), it would take literally a decade to make a fucking sequel with all of the afore mentioned spinoff of said sequel, to make a follow of Street Fighter

The ones that mix in with the main game you might as well use, sure. Most of the DLC for that game is mini-campaigns outside the main game though, and no, I don't think any of them are really worth playing.

Destiny is the only example. But anyways as I said Its called long term support. Valve is still constantly Updating CS:GO with new weapons and maps same with DOTA 2.

But before you say they do it for free while Capcom makes you pay well fuck it not every dev is not like Valve or GOG, vote with your wallet and decide whether Street Fighter 4 updates are worth it or not.

Besides do you even play Street Fighter at all? As in you where there since the Street Fighter 2 days? If no than why are you bitching about DLC Updates? Infact it is the least bad thing in gaming right now. You should be concerned about Devs releasing broken games at launch and Draconian DRM.
