Destruction of property is a felony. I wish all ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends remembered that. At least in Poland, when damaged property is of value greater than 250PLN (a value of two x360 games), it's a felony. If it's less, it's misdemenaour.

You can go to jail for this. It doesn't matter if it's your ex's games, a car, or a flat.

Reading through the article this is mentioned:

"The man, who is not being named by The Associated Press because of the nature of the attack, married Kieu after they met at a gym but soon subjected Kieu to verbal and sexual abuse, Kieu’s public defender, Frank Bittar, said during trial.
Kieu had mental health problems caused by a childhood full of molestation and other trauma in war-torn Vietnam, and her husband also constantly demanded sex in ways that caused her pain, Bittar said."

As horrible that was, if it's true, it's certainly understandable why she did it.

Nothing ever justifies cutting off a man's penis. She should face life in prison for this. She is clearly a dangerous woman. And verbal abuse? LOL Most people verbally abuse each other every day. Verbal abuse happens a lot in a lot of families too. Okay, I shouldn't of laughed. Verbal abuse is a horrible thing but it is no more horrible than having a shitty job or being stuck in traffic.

I'd rather have the freedom to choose which games I want to keep. There is not many things out there more horrible than having to see a game you hate in your collection until the day you die...

This. I would say that the girlfriend is more in need of replacement than the games.

My girlfriend is a 'casual' gamer in the most literal sense of the word. She got together with me in full knowledge of the fact that I'm a gamer. She accepts it. I must say for my part that I do make an effort in our relationship, which it sounds this guy didn't, but I know I can trust my girl to not pull off childish shit like this guy's girl did.
