I was... honestly not expecting that. I figured that The Journeyman Project games would never see the light of day here beyond Buried in Time. I guess they got more from Cyan games than just Myst 5.

Right, right, I just checked the back of the case for JMP3, it has an ad for Riven on it, and other stuff put out by RED ORB, not Cyan.

Ah yeah, I think there was a bit of cross promotion because they filled up the remaining space on one of my Riven discs with a demo of this game.

That's what is keeping me from buying JPs 2 & 3 now.
But, the first one (and turbo) are apparently 16bit Win3.x games, which means they will not work on 64bit Win7 etc., I presume. Unless you run them in a virtual machine, or through DOSBox running Win3.1? So I guess it doesn't make much sense try to get them to GOG.
I'll have to check what CD(s) got scratched on delivery with my JMP Trilogy box, hopefully not 1 (Turbo), as I now know I can get the other two from GOG.

BTW; according to MobyGames, http://www.mobygames.com/game/journeyman-project-trilogy was released for Windows back in -99, so it might already include a windows 95-compatible version. Or did 3.x stuff run natively on 95?

Win3.x games usually seemed to run fine on Win9x, at least I remember playing e.g. Wizardry Gold on Win98SE. I think by default Win3.x games should run on all 32bit Windows versions including probably XP/Vista/7, but not the 64bit editions (unless using a virtual machine running on it), or if the game uses some silly way of accessing the sound hardware.

For a while, Presto and Cyan shared the same publisher (Bröderbund, under their Red Orb label), and Cyan wound up outsourcing Myst III to Presto, while they worked on Uru. The engine tech for JMP3 led to the engine they used for Myst 3, whose engine they ported back for the 10th Anniversary DVD edition of JMP3.
