I dunno much about current football but I'm fervently backing the Baltimore Ravens, mostly because I loved The Wire.

Patriots, simply because they seem to be the winners any time they make it this far, or at least in the rare events I'm actually noticing that there's a Super Bowl going on.

Just be happy that you are not a Cleveland Browns fan. At least the Eagles have been to a Super Bowl. I can't say the same for my Brownies.

I am not very familiar with that egg-handball sport and neither was I aware that their supercup is running now, but there is still a 9,99 game I am longing for...

Since my entire picture of Baltimore has been shaped by watching 'the wire', I will go with the New England Patriots .

PS: Havn't actually followed the sport lately, so don't know how good they are right now, but you got to stay loyal to your team, right ;)

HomerSimpson: I like American football. But, when it comes to the Super Bowl, I'm ambivalent. One reason is that my favorite team (the Eagles) never wins the darn thing. Then there are the ten-hour long 'pre-game' shows. And the halftime entertainment 'extravaganzas'. Sure, I watch the game. But it can be pretty wearisome.
I am a long-suffering Eagles fan as well and feel your pain. I am entering with the 49ers.
