Really, this mixing up of topic in these forums sometimes annoys me...

back to topic: the trailer looks a bit strange in my opinion, as they mix up biiig pixels with real movie sequences. How does that make sense? Still, it seems like a nice offer, heavy on text, maybe a bit like the shivah? I don't know. Maybe someone who already played it wants to tell something about it.

The problem is TGP and BTDT were avaible already DRM free + steam in other bundles.

Also, I believe it's the main reason for poor sales on Home too. It has only 130 fans on facebook for christ's sake, even my cat has more fans. Not very distinctive title also isn't a good thing.

The trailer is pretty bad. The real life footage was a mistake in my opinion.

Sorry 'bout that, got sidetracked. Anyway, for anyone who buys it, it apparently doesn't save, so make sure you have the time to complete it in one sitting. Definitely agree that the trailer kinda sucks. The live action parts look like a pathetic attempt at Blair Witch-style shaky camera scary thingy and contrasts bizarrely with the retroness of the actual game.

Kind of sad that the developer has to sell it for $2. It should at least be $5 or maybe $10. It also needs more attention as from the previews I have read, It's worth buying with the way the plot can unfold depending on what you do.

HIB V is at $1 minimum too. I don't see the travesty to be honest...

I think what's different is that HIB is at $1 minimum right from the start, but they don't talk about it much and they suggest you pay more, so hardly anyone who cares about the games would even think about paying so little (you can, but you're not expected to), while the Bundle In A Box, starting at $3 minimum and then constantly dropping the minimum price, kind of uses the low and dropping price as an encouragement to buy, as if this was the actual price of the bundle, not something they need to cover their expenses with. But yeah, it's more a difference in the psychological effect, I think, putting too much emphasis on the low price.

Anyway, back on track:

Hm, that's a little off-putting. No save function, not even auto-saves that automatically let you continue from where you left off before quitting? Has anyone played through it and knows how long it takes to play through? Are we talking 5-10 minutes here? Hm, at $2 maybe I'll just try and figure that out myself, but I'd hate to play for longer than that and having to start from scratch because I had to quit before reaching the end. IMO every self-respecting game should offer a basic auto-save function, for ease-of-use. Even modern Tetris variants like Slydris have one nowadays.

I'm aware that lots of people do that, what I meant is that this behavior is only tolerated not encouraged (isn't there some kind of guilt inspiring message about starving artists or so if you pay that few?). If I'm naive, it's because I think that most of these people know perfectly well that they're cheapskates and wouldn't claim that $1 was the actual price they were meant to pay, while with Bundle in a Box, it feels like the minimum price is what they expect to get in the first place, and that it's perfectly okay to pay that and nothing more.

Good point. The biggest problem with bundle in a box is it encourages people to wait until others buy it, and then grab it for lower price.

Argh, I went back thinking about buying this and it's no longer DRM-free! The buy button on the website now links straight through to the Steam page.

Well this is disappointing, I was going to buy it today but I will hold off incase GOG gets it DRM-free. I may break down and get it on Steam, but I'd rather not if I can avoid it. It's a shame because it does look good. I, normally don't mind Steam, but the fact they pulled the DRM-free option seems silly.

This game looks pretty cool to me, I liked Lone Survivor and Home kinda reminds me of it.
