The first 3 mortal kombat games just came out on steam. And the description says "All three games are complete versions of their original and can now be played online.".
This kicks major ass so I assumed some gogers would like to know about this.

For that asking price it's a steal. Just watch out for that super-cheap MKII AI!
Wonder how well multiplayer works.
The GG version is GfWL, this one too?

What the hell kind of idiot would tie those games to GFWL?

I know I'm the local GFWL fanboy, but that also means guranteed controller support (well, for xbox 360/directinput (?) ones).

But is the Steam version GFWLed?

Fixed.

So, no, nothing interesting here.

It's pretty much guaranteed anyway. In fact it's guaranteed in games that would be better off without controller support. I'd rather rely on Xpadder than tolerate the continued existence of that fucking awful boil on the backside of PC gaming.

Hey, I said it first!

Seriously, though, I'd hate it if my job were to implement DRM of any kind into a 20 year old game. That's like the very definition of pointlessness.

Would you feel better implementing DRM for a 31 year old game? :p

3gb of free space? What for, the last Mortal Kombat wasn't that heavy.
Since I decided to pass the DRM-free and probably a superior Guilty Gear 2X game on GOG for a couple of dollars, I think I'll pass this even more. Not my genre anyways.

When I was younger, I tried to like Mortal Kombat on arcade (and I think I tried the PC version somewhere too), but it seemed pointless, I didn't get it.
