I bought more than I'm willing to admit.
I will put the long list later when I've decided, but The Longest Journey will be high in my list because googling for it suggests that people have had massive problems getting the original 4 CD version (which I own but have never played) to work on modern computers, while the GOG version has no such problems. Prime example of game to buy from GOG, one of the main reasons for GOG's existence.

Dungeon Keeper 1/2: I liked 1 but haven't played it in years, never played 2
Darklands: look like an interesting RPG
Magic Carpet, Wing Commander Series, Crusader series, Betrayal at Krondor, Ultima Underworld: read alot about these games back in the day but never played them
Fahrenheit: played it on PS2, want to replay it
Serious Sam 1/2, Bloodrayne 1/2: some mindless action is always fun
ArmA: have mixed feelings about Operation Flashpoint, maybe I'll like this one better? dunno
Desperados: Played the demo I think, liked it but not enough to buy it at that time
HoMM3: I have played very little from this genre, but I like it, so 'll give this one a try
Nox, Crusaders of Might & Magic, Might and Magic 9, Return to Krondor, Shattered Steel, Guilty Gear X2: Not expecting much from these, but maybe I'll like a few
I got all the D&D collection when I knew abot GOG, there where a special sale, and was waiting for a special sale on fallout games too, so I bought all 3 fallout games for less tha 7 euros ^^. And I have a 9.99$ code that would be directly for Gothic 3 when the Xmas sale ends :)
I am torn between RPGs and adventure games

Neverwinter nights, BG1/2, Icewind Dale 1/2
Psychonauts, beyond good and evil, fahrenheit, under a kiilling moon

oasis789: what was it?
Populous 2 :)
Let's see:

Land of Lore 1 + 2 - I have fond memories of the first game, and never tried 2.

Darklands - An RPG I never played, and looks interesting.

Ishar - RPGs I never played, but am curious to try.

Outcast - People say it was a masterpiece, but I never played it. Now is the time.

Wing Commander 3 - Fond memories, and I don't have the CDs anymore. :(

Spellforce series - I liked the first game but never finished, so I bought a digital copy backup, and both Spellforce 2 games, too.

Alpha Centauri - I'm not a huge 4X fan, but the rave reviews convinced me. Maybe this will be the one that keeps me up all night?

Nox - Looks cool, but I never played it.

Ultima 4,5,6 - Because I really need to play these games again. Installing from my Ultima Collection CD is a hassle, and I had a spare $3. :)

Edit: Forgot two.

So far, I've gotten Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, Nox, Icewind Dale 2, and Baldur's Gate 2 (to replace my physical copy).

I'm tempted to get one of the Unreal games (either UTGold or UT2k4), and maybe Baldur's Gate 1 or Planescape: Torment before the sales are over.
I bought 8 games and don't think I'm quite done yet. I'll post the list then.

Why not get the best of both worlds? Makes for more variety, too.

Like Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, BG(1/)2. And/or Neverwinter Nights for the huge amount of great custom content (with regard to gamelength, the BG series and especially NWN are more than enough for several months).

Of course, it all comes down to your preferences. The games you list under Adventures are very different from each other. All have their strong points and are worth checking out. Fahrenheit has great atmosphere and could be an excellent adventure but I found the the Quick Time Events really annoying and immersion-breaking - and they're a fundamental part of the gameplay. (I didn't get very far yet.) UaKM is a cool P&C adventure but it suffers partly from the typical weaknesses of the genre (pixel-hunting, obscure puzzle design, not knowing what to do). Psychonauts can be frustrating at times, but IMO of the three it has the most varied gameplay and the most original ideas, therefor it was the most motivating for me to play. To a slighty lesser extent, the same goes for BGE.

I bought Planescape: Torment.

I'm thinking about buying a strategy game as well, possibly Seven Kingdoms 2.
I'm going to buy Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment. If I like Baldur's Gate (which I suppose I'll do) I might also buy 2.

I'm also thinking about buying the HoMM games, though I already have 3 (complete edition) on disc(for a few years, and still not completed, which is a shame, I think), but well, an extra digital version could be useful.

Hmm good points all around... I'm down to either NWN or Psychonauts... guess I'll see how I feel over the weekend
I...

...purchased...

...EVERYTHING!

ie. mainly EA games that haven't been on sale yet
I purchased some adventures I might play if I have more time (Little Big Adventure, Broken Sword 4), then Stronghold and Dungeon Keeper and SimCity 2000 (this one for purely nostalgic reasons) which satisfy my hunger for strategy or simulations.
