Brace yourself, Ned. The 2012 DRM-Free Holiday Sale is coming!

No, there's no release today. But there's a good reason: starting tomorrow, we'll be starting our winter season / festivus / celebration of your choice sale, and we know that you'll be thrilled about it.

What's the sale going to be? Well, we would hate to spoil the surprise early. But we'll be offering your favorite games for sale at prices that should warm even the grinchiest of hearts. While you're waiting, though, we've started some holiday celebrations--you know how we love to give you guys gifts--and you can enter into our week-long holiday-themed caption contests right here, if you're so inclined, or stay tuned for more holiday silliness in our forums as well as on [url=https://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook, and Google+.

Tell your friends, hide your ducks, load the caravans, and get ready, because we're starting the gifting season early with a huge game giveaway tomorrow along with our sale, so you know you don't want to miss out. In the meantime, snuggle up in something warm, drink some eggnog, and we'll see you all tomorrow.

gameon: Maybe they were just trolling :D

fortune_p_dawg: I wonder if there's a giant red button they push or something to make the sale go live....
More or less. ;)

Epitaph666: hahaha. i can see the riot if that's the case

But c'mon GOG! Bloodygoodgames will miss his flight! Don't you have a heart??
Bloodygoodgames is a woman

htown1980: This is taking sooooo long. And I can't help but feel I will be disappointed one it happens... Stupid unrealistic expectations..

Leroux: I'm pretty sure that GOG will live up to all expectations of disappointing their customers' high expectations once again. That's the one thing you can always rely on, with all the hype they tend to create. ;)
well so far not disappointing at all. although i already own duke 3d, its a great game to give away and the bullfrog 75% off sale is wonderful too. and so many 50% off games :)
Lemme guess, FTL was just on sale for 40% off, so you can't put it up for more than 25% off.
Nice sale. Only games not on sale is BG series and recent indie releases (havent checked them all) ;)

I love you man! (and I'm not even drunk when I say that!)
Yey, bought the only thing I wanted from here.

The Witcher 2.
Will the games currently on generic sale ( I.E., not the bullfrog ones) remain on sale until January, or will they change as well?

Eidos game sales end in one week, Bohemia Interactive and Retro City Rampage end in two weeks. Everything else stays on sale until the end.

Well, looks like BG1 and BG2 are the only older games not on sale. Anyone care to guess why (i am them already)? ;)(hmmmm time to make my wishlist smaller hahahah)

I usually have games I have own hidden, so it's weird to see the Fallout games on sale for $4.99.

I didn't notice I posted that in the 2011 thread. I was wondering why the general GOG sale thread made today was being locked already. XD
GOG sales are always so disappointing compared to sales from other sites.

Pardon me, sir. Would you like some cheese with your whine?
