The End Might be Near*. Better Play Some Games!

We don't really know if the Mayans were right
Will the 21st be the Earth's final night?
If it really is, we know we'd want to be
Spending our last hours enjoyably

The end of the world, and the bundles we bring
Are a wondrous package--an incredible thing
All the daily deals for the whole month today shine
We've even brought ones from the future in asynchronous time

Of all of the days of the year 2012
This is the one for gamers just like yourselves
To pick up some games before the world ends
And spend your last day having fun times with friends

Some say the world ends in fire--or ice
We think that neither ending sounds nice
If the world has to end--neither frozen nor flaming
The world should end in a way that says: gaming!

There's and [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/the_witcher_2]Witcher, and and [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/duke_nukem_3d_atomic_edition]Duke
And Deus Ex, , or [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/thief_gold]Thief
So before the world leaders launch thousands of nukes
Spend a few moments and suspend disbelief

Theme Hospital, , [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/caesar_3]Caesar 3 and Trine
It sure was nice living, but we're just out of time
Ultima Games, from 1 to game 9
The aliens are invading--we must hold the line!

, [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/wing_commander_1_2]Wing Commander, and indie FTL
Crusaders and Heroes of Magic and Might
The end is approaching boys; see you in hell
Bruce Willis can't save us from this meteorite

Quests for Kings and for Space and for Heroes and Glory
and [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/telltale_adventures]Telltale
The abyss is erupting--this will surely be gory
Frogs are raining down in amphibious hail

The world may be ending, our last day is nigh
So take this last chance to play games 'till you die!

*GOG.com in no way endorses The End of The World. We like it here. If you have a Death Star, a Death Ray, or a fleet of Cyber T-rexes with Lasers, please don't destroy the Earth right now. At least wait until we release that game that everyone's waiting for. And that one, too. No, that one probably will never happen.
I wonder which of the current promos will continue in 6 hours?

Or maybe the next promo will be the other deal that TET mentioned wasn't included today.
Aaaah, My wallet is crying.
There was a few Bundles i wanted but i only bougth the sam and Max one and Arma 2.

Migth pick up a few more after i have done my last X-mas shopping for the year in town.
No where near as bad as I thought, I owned a number of the bundles already, 12 or so and 3 I definitely don't want so bought 8 games and undecided about 4 more.
Lucikly I have a good supply of food and beverage on hand might survive a few days after the end of the world depending on what is going to knock us all off.

On the fence about Heroes Chronicles. What to do, what to do...
I mean, it's only five bucks but I just got the new HiB, plus there's six GOGs I still need to play and finish too. And Mass Effect 3 that's still in the wrap and has been for a month. And Deadlight. So I'm not running out of things to play in the near future.

Good thing there's still some time left to think whether I should buy it and add to the backlog.
Couldn't resist and bought two bundles although I have enough other games and no time to play them. However the good thing is that I probably do not need to come back to GOG for a whole year with the christmas sales being the best sales of the year. So I should develop a healthy 12 months playing, 1 week shopping rhythm. As far as I am concerned, GOG selling team can make extensive holidays in the carribean sea in january and february. :)

DeadlyRamon: San Antonio, Tejas. Don't care much for España these days, and I like California even less. Are you an immigrant from the United Kingdom?

Andanzas: No, I am from Madrid. And I am afraid nobody cares much about Spain these days. :(
Some of my Catalan relatives want Cataluña to secede from Spain. They discourage the use of Castilian and want to speak Catalan only!
It's just not happening...130 games and not a single deal for me :-(
Oh well, another time...
Ack, so frustrating... :(

From the Indie Adventure bundle, I want Botanicula and Gemini Rue. I could gift Resonance and Machinarium, but I don't want To the Moon or Stacking.

From the Jumpin' Indie Actuon bundle, I don't want Mutant Mudds, but I can't gift it since I don't already own it.

I really wish there was an option for these bundles to get gift keys for stuff one doesn't own and don't want.
I got "To the Moon" and I'm loving it so far. It really is something worth experiencing.

I love the humour in it too.

nijuu: For which games? Alpha Centauri still havent got the expansion with it.....

DCT: Hate to break it to you but yes it does http://static.gog.com/upload/forum/2012/12/41c39be64374f350448811db1ce8a3e33f282970.png

Also Wing Commander 1+2 now have Secret Missions 1+2 and Secret ops 1+2(there short cuts for them in the start menu), Privateer has Righteous fire
Downloading the 2.0.0 installers right now... looks like Santa forgot to light up the "update" warnings.

DCT: GOG you glourious bastards, you snuck in the EA expansions without telling us well most of them from what I seen so far.
wow, thanks for the heads up, that's huge! Crossfire :D
Yay, based on what I read in this thread I picked up Alphan Centauri and I can confirm it does indeed contain the Alien Crossfire expansion, including the AC manual. Very nice :)
This is indeed the best GOG sale so far.

Rincewind81: This is a strange opinion. Steam sells games cheaper because they have the control over the game and only selling a license to play? Same for GOG - yes you get an installer here, you can make a copy for yourself and install this without internet connection but to be honest, but in the end everything you buy from GOG is "something of a "Licence" to play it"... Your games are tied to your account and you are not allowed to sell your games and you are unable to unbind them from your account to give them to an other person. So - whats the difference from Steam, Gamersgate and others?
Yeah, licence is not really the best word to describe it, but I can't think of somehting better right now.
It's true that the downloads are tied to your channel, but once you got the stuff, you are able to do with it as you like (technically, not legaly! I don't support piracy.). With Steam, you can't do anything with the game data alone (unless you're pretty good at cracking games I guess).
And as nijuu said, if (heaven forbit!) GOG suddenly closes tomorrow, I'll still have the game to install and play. On Steam, you lose everything.
I would love if GOG would make a Bundle with all of their games (495) for no charge at all but only if you would press "buy all" and enter your details in less than one second :)
