In Space No One Can Hear You Play.

Human, alien--doesn't matter. At GOG.com we speak a universal langueage: great games & low prices. Today, prepare for a launch into 2013 with a collection of sci-fi space sims packed together for 75% off in [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/santa_in_space]Santa in SPAAAAACE bundle. 9 games for $15.41 is this year's last special offer, so don't miss it!

The Star Control series has what is is arguably one of the best the game of space exploration ever made! The games are epic space opera with clever humor, thrilling starship battles, and hair-raising plot twists; it’s a mix of genres many of titles have tried to copy--often without success--and it’s one of the most influential titles of the ‘90s. If you are a *camper* who likes to have *parties*, buy Star Control 1+2 for only $1.49 or Star Control 3, the final part of the series, for the same low price.

Haegemonia Gold Edition consists of Legions of Iron (the main game) and the expansion: Solon Heritage. It’s an epic sci-fi RTS set during a civil war between Earth and Mars colonies. Pick a side - be it Earth or Mars - and forge a better future for your people. Build, command, and lead your forces in this challenging 3D RTS, where you can eventually build a multi-system empire that pits you against a variety of aliens who all seem to want one thing: everything you have.

Master of Orion 1+2 series is a paragon of sci-fi managerial strategy. Lead your race towards galactic domination in a universe full of opportunity. Those games are so complex and satisfying, that you could easily play them for years.

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident might easily be one of the most captivating and feature-rich space combat tactical games. Additionally it has a huge fanbase and modbase--check the Mod Spotlight we have prepared for the game for even richer space exploration experience.

Fragile Allegiance is an excellent addition to the conquer-the-galaxy genre, a combination of SimCity, Civilization, and Master of Orion with complex diplomacy and challenging AI.

Don't forget the two space combat simulators Independence War Deluxe's and Independence War 2 and complete your space collection for 75% off today in Santa in SPAAAAACE bundle.

FYI it's also the last day to buy XIII, so grab it now before it gets removed from the catalogue tomorrow.
Awesome!
At first I was like FUUUUU for buying Nexus on Steam for 2,50, then I noticed it was 75% off only if you buy everything. Remains a good buy...
Epic, now that's an offer I cannot refuse. Have been eyeballing Fragile Allegiance and Moonbase Commander since they were released. Can't wait to try them. :)

I already own it but +1 for reminding people of this. :)

Exactly those two games I want to buy before the sale is over. But only those – why do I have have to buy seven more game items to get the 75% discount? This is ridiculous … If at least Alpha Centauri with its new add-on Alien Crossfire was in the bundle. I mean, the topic is “Santa in Space”.

@GoG:
So, again: no no no, please do not try this again next year. Most people, who already have (most) games they are interested in a bundle, do not want to buy the not-so-good rest, even for 75% discount, because the bundles are too big. It does not pay off if you want only one or two games and have to pay for six more.

It would be much better to add even more games to the daily list and than say “pick five” for 75% less or for a fixed price. In that case I would have bought the games I am interested in and two or three “half interested“, just because they are in the bundle.

I must say you did not get the bundle idea (like Humble Bundle or Indieroyale) right this time … ;)
is today the last day of 'nearly' site-wide 50% off?

or is it just the last bundle day?

i thought jan 3 was the final day or something, but cant find anything just yet corroborating my memory.

Edit:
found it on the main page banner

"452 GAMES ON SALE · NEW DEALS EACH DAY · ONLY UNTIL JAN 3 "

what are the final 2 days 'deals' to be?
i know off that list from the prior days one of the days is that War one.
but thats still 2 more days.

I think most of us hate the bundles but, unfortunately, GOG is obsessed with them.

I too would have bought a lot more games if there were the "choose 10 out of these 50 games" type of deals, but when I was being forced to buy games in a bundle that I didn't want just to buy the games I did, I decided not to bother.

Then again, we can't really complain. Like I've said before, a 50 percent discount on just about everything in the catalog is a darned good deal. I ended up with 8 games I wanted so, that I probably would have bought more at 75 percent off if they hadn't been in bundles just means I don't have even more games in a back log I'll never play :)

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the sale and ended up with some games I am loving.
Damn you GOG, that's a tempting bunch of games...

Maybe 'this year's last special offer' means 'the last special offer of 2012'.

A blue name said there wouldn't be any new bundles, so I'm guessing either there will be another last chance combo sale or a repeat of the most successful one.

Of course not. :) I have to say, the 50% on (almost) everything is a really nice and fantastic offer. As I said, I will buy some games before the sale is over. This is still fantastic and allows to get some really good and quite new games for a quite reasonable price.

So there is nothing to really complain. I just wanted to say that (and why) the bundles don’t make much sense. GoG just got its bundle strategy wrong. So it is a hint to do something else next year. The pick-5-offer from last month was great IMO. These bundles just annoy me, it’s like a giant advertisement, because I bought not a single bundle but will buy some from the advertised games. ;)

And the only special offer where you could buy single games at the same discount price was from Telltale, but as Telltale decided in making point-and-click adventures without pointing and clicking (you have to DRAG a person to let him go somewhere), I did not buy Back to the Future nor Tales of Monkey Island … it’s a pitty because story and humor are great, but without a decent control, all is nothing.
Nice collection although only 1 i dont ave is moonbase commander and not interested in that.

Does anybody know what time on the 3rd it ends?
Ah, time to further explore the far reaches of space (and GOG's space game catalog)! As my username suggests, I love science-fiction games. Thank you, GOG, for this amazing bundle!
