It's being re-released on consoles it seems.

Maybe it will come out on Steam or here at around the same time?
Or maybe someone at Io Interactive finally decided to replace the damn song.
Hope we'll see it here on GOG :D Or at least on GG...
Nice. Another gaping hole that distributors may be able to close.

Probably this.
It amazes me to see that they didn't bother to change the song for such a long time for PC gamers... and now that they have a game on console.. they have recreated the whole franchise and worked out all the issues for it

If they just swap the song out it probably says a lot about how many copies old games sell on PC that they didn't find it worth the effort before.

I doubt it though, they still refuse to fix Kane & Lynch 1.

Why doesn't this happen more often?

There are severe audio issues with the game on some computers, including my own. I had to do a lot of voodoo to even be able to play past the third level. It causes the game to crash horribly.

If I recall correctly, the game uses a really old audio system and it isn't very compatible with Windows Vista and 7 (though XP is fine.)

Hmmm, never had that issue myself. PC gaming!
They should replace the music with this one:
