It's ridiculous - every square meter is filled with crap, I couldn't believe my eyes. That is why game development has become so expensive and most triple A games barely break even. And that is why PS2 was, is and will always remain king.

lolwut?

Oh and I never owned a PS2, I have a computer. It's that thing that lets me play Hitman: Codename 47 all the way up to Absolution, since "PS2 was, is and will always remain king" I gather it can do that for me, too?

Are you trolling?
I agree, graphics are used superflously to gather a large number of people like marketing due to growth-based economy but I still think that we shouldn't stop trying to push the limitations of hardware and software capabilities but with moderation.
I actually enjoyed the graphics a lot. The crowds are outstanding and it really adds to the overall atmosphere. In fact, it's was the first time in a while I was impressed by the visuals.

I guess I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on that one.

Absolution looked pretty amazing I thought. However yes, I agree, if putting all that effort into detail and graphics means the games have to sell ten million copies to be a success then it's a stupid decision.
Screw the crowds, but is Hitman (47) still bald?

I thought the reason they made him bald in the early Hitman games was because the 3D technology was not up to it to display long hair in realtime. Nowadays it should be quite easy, so there's no reason the protagonist couldn't look like this now.

I'd wager it'd be easier to put on a wig than hiding one's mane while on assassination runs. Just saying.
