It's a shame they never made any sequels to this. Great movie. Yep, real shame.

Even worse, they didn't even go for a spin off series!
There can be only one.
Who wants to live forever?
Third movie wasn't bad.

I mean... uh... if it existed.

If they had made a fourth film, they would have considered the previous 2 so bad, they would completely ignore their existence, and start fresh.

Also, thank god they didn't make a third one with Mario Van Peebles in it. That would have been a truly catastrophic casting decision.

The first one really is a kind of magic.

and imagine what kind of game they could have made, with all the sword fighting and action. To bad noon tried...
And it features one of the best movie lines in history:

Damn, the '80s were the golden time of film-making.

Ahhh.. beat me to it.
Highlander, highlander.

Same mystery as the Matrix, for me. Okay, the sequels are horrible, many people agree on that, but they oppose them to the supposedly great first opus. And this confuses me.

"There can be only one"... immortal to get the privilege of being mortal, while, uh, all the others have to, hm, die for that ? Oookay.

What are these sequels you speak of?

You're weird.
Isn't there a remake in the works or something.

Ah yes... the movie where they got a Frenchman playing a Scot and a Scotsman playing an Egyptian. Good times...

Yeah, they could have totally ignored everything that happened in the movie after the first few episodes and actually created a pretty decent series... of course, then they would try to push it too far with another spin-off featuring a popular recurring character from the first series who really couldn't hold a show on her own...

And if they were really crazy, they'd do an animated series set in, say, the future or something...
